yeah me either, never heard anyone reppin tha North, i guess it's cooler and sounds more better and to everyone more popular mentioning West (waffles) or East (eat). LOL!

Niggaz been reppin north oakland its just not that infamous as the east and west and its only like 15 blocks.. but them bushrod park niggaz used to put it down tho..

it goes down in alot of places you wouldnt expect it to be cracking.. shit even south berkeley gets down for real..

Just to add, back in mid-eighties, Mosswood Park was the best dank spot in the town. This one family of like ten brothers (I won't say their name) who held down the whole park. They were in pocket with everything from nickels to QP's and usually had 3 types to pick from (Indo, Thai, and high grade sensimilla) damn near 24/7.

This was when bassrocks were first coming out. Shit had been around since the seventies, but the difference was you couldn't get it already rocked up, you had to buy powder and take it to special apts. in the hood where they'd rock that shit up for you for a fee. Anyway, Mosswood was the first place I seen where you could get it already rocked up.

I hope you don't tell me Mosswood isn't North O, I always thought it was..

and what about the part of Grove street where like 200 people used to sell mostly bammer all day, right on Grove and up and down almost every side street. isn't that mostly North O?

You kids are somethin else!! The North use to Alwayz be thick, its just you younger cats dont know much about it!! You had Bushrod and bushrod use to could get down wit any hood in the TOWN back in the day!!, 4-500 and Market, Not to forget about 40th aka 4000, 6200,63rd st golden gate area, Gaskill st area, Apgar is considered North Oakland, Shit the North is only like 20 blocks. And north Oakland niggaz just wasnt as grimey lookin as West and east oakland cats but took care of business in the same way!! Its just niggaz have got older, moved away or in jail. Housing authority also did a lot of remodeling. By the way Mosswood is considered North oakland. If u know any cats who went to Oakland TECH in the past they will tell you how them NSO boys use to get down!!

i've always known of the North. cuz i mean i grew up in the West, but i grew up in the upper West (close to the North), not the lower part of the West. so i mean i was always exposed to niggas from north oakland and shit........i just didn't know as much about their turfs and blocks and all that shit until a few years ago.

preach my nig.. there have been shoot outs on sacramento street in south berkeley and in spots in north oakland etc.. its real serious though its cooled down over the last year or so... anyone from the bay area knows about North Oakland.. anyone who grew up in the urban communities knows of the hoods from Marin City.. to San Jose. throughout the Peninsula and SF nuff said
