I GOT A HOMIE WHO'S FAMILY MOVED UP HERE FROM EAST SIDE WILMINGTON(they moved before he got caught up in bangin down there). HE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS SOME NORTENOS OUT THERE...HIS PRIMOS ARE FROM EAST SIDE WILMAS MAHAR 13...THEY DON'T EVEN CONSIDER THE NORTENOS THERE A THREAT SO THEY DON'T EVEN TRIP ON EM...THEY GOT BIGGER FISH TO FRY I GUESS!
AND I HAVE MET AN OLDER NORTENO FROM A SET IN LONG BEACH...MY HOMIES MOM WAS DATING THE HOMEBOY...HE WAS TATTED UP WITH XIV'S AND SHIT...HE SAID HE MOVED DOWN THERE WITH HIS FAMILY WHEN HE WAS YOUNG AND MET UP WITH SOME OTHER NORTENOS THAT WERE RELOCATED DOWN THERE...THEY ALL LIVED IN SOME APTS AND BASICALLY RECRUITED OTHERS THERE TO BANG NORTE...HE SAID THERE WAS ONLY 30 OF THEM IN ALL OF LONG BEACH...HE WAS ALL SCARRED UP AND HAD BULLET WOUND SCARS....SAID THEY COULDN'T EVEN LEAVE THE APTS BECAUSE OF THE SURROUNDING SURENOS....
I ALSO GOT A HOMEBOY FROM MY HOOD THAT MOVED DOWN TO BAKERS....SAID THERE'S A BUNCH OF NORTENOS OUT THERE PUTTIN IT DOWN...SAID 90% OF THEM ARE BUSTERS BUT THEY ARE PRESENT DOWN THERE..
BASICALLY...SOME OF YOU ARE SO QUICK TO JUMP AND SAY THERE AREN'T ANY NORTENOS IN THE SOUTH....THERE MIGHT NOT BE BIG SETS BUT THERE ARE NORTENOS DOWN THERE SCATTERED HERE AND THERE...MOST MIGHT NOT MAKE IT KNOWN THOUGH FOR OBVIOUS REASONS.

re: "biggest gang in LA"... well that would be 18 St and its also the biggest gang of all period (though of course there are hundreds of different clicks).

MV is one of the oldest gangs in East LA and they have at least 12 clicks that I know of. They were responsible for a good part of Chicano bangin from the start so they have power believe that. They have had their neighborhoods and housing projects since the beginning (30's) so just kicking them out isnt all that easy. There isnt really a "gang-up" mentaity going on because cholos here (as I have said a million times) are not united and to expect a whole gang of Surenos to go out of their way to take out MV simply because they arent Surenos is unheard of because nighborhoods are the issue at hand not Sur/MV (though it comes up of course). They were definitely Surenos at one time but broke away just as the Bulldogs did up north. Does their continuing existence make any sense?

yeah sure there are some here just like there are some in New York and Florida. Does that mean they bang on anyone? Not necessarily. As far as a new gang startin up down here claimin "Norte", well thats uncomprehendable to me because I do not know what the point would be being that they are apparently too scared to go outside and bang anyway? You said yourself they dont go outside for obvious reasons and I agree those reasons are valid so why be in a gang if you aint gonna put in work for it?

well unless you go down every single side street in L.A. county then you can't say anything about that. You might see a gang from chicago hit up on a wall in la, it happens. I mean you act like it's impossible for some guy to tag that shit up on the wall if he's visiting family or moved over here. Doesn't mean that there is a norteno hood here just means that a norteno or someone fuckin around put that shit up. Also I don't see norte hit up all over the place or anything (should have typed that out better) I've just seen 2 or 3 times if that.

new gangs get enough shit as it is down here, if nortenos were trying to start some shit up they wouldn't even be able to walk down the street without getting fucked with. And that's not only funk with one gang, that's funk with every sureno gang. Cuz every gang has it's ogs and ex cons and they'll know whats up if the youngsters don't do anything. You'd be fighting everyone. Being at war with 5 gangs is a lot depending on how big you are. Now imagine EVERY gang trying to take your shit out and with being a new gang and all, that shit would get wiped out real quick.
I hear Surenos are deep in Richmond and some little ass town called Winton. So wouldnt it be possible that there might be a small gang of Nortenos in some small southern town?

Im sure the ones who would start the gang would be real Nortenos but to keep there hood alive they would have to recruit young chicanos from southern cali.
