real niggas aint pushin color lines like that mane. if you a blood or crip so what. aint nothin wrong with reppin where you from. westcoast is known for flaggin out here. nothin new. we talkin gangsta rap here. no need to suffocate anythang, unless it's about dividin the two colors from collabin or who's makin the west look bad, bloods or crips. kill that shit. if zro your favorite rapper, thats bool, but i wouldnt base it on because he aint flaggin, thats what makes em real or talks about the real. real niggas is gonna spit real shit, hopefully. look at black mikey, he a real nigga and he banged the fuck out, but he got lyrics and he just ain't on some damu shit. look at mitch, same shit. look at sonny bo, same shit, jayo, same shit. so just because a nigga flag and bang the way he does, don't mean they aint spittin real shit. some of these niggas on tv put on they square pants and talk like college professors, but when they gettin they cameo on they super banged out. c'mon. that's that shit i'm talkin bout.
i feel you. but truth of the matter is that rappers nowadays pushin a hard line is gonna stay local/regional. mainstream dont like gangstas anymore. ppl got too much problems to be listenin to a song about a dude killin up another dude because he from a diff street.

ex. if you was from east, midwest, or south, you dont know the hoods in the west. and thats most of what they talkin about? why listen? when you can go pick up a....lets sayyyy..... a scarface record. scarface talkin about life, struggle, family, etc. i know its a thin line from that and the g shit, but it is a visible thin line.

point is, dudes need to stop focusing so much on reppin they hood and killin up everybody, and focus more on translational music. translational music is music that everybody can feel and relate to.

thats why 50 last cd flopped. he talked too much about jackin and killin up ppl. but now he puttin out singles about fuckin bitches and makin money, and his singles are sellin.

thats why drake is popular
thats y soulja boy is popular
thats y rick ross albums sellin
thats why kanye shit is sellin
that why mitch cant blow
thats why jayo cant blow
thats why mc eiht never blew

translation music touches more people and more audiences then regional music

Z-Ro pushes a mean line with his raps but he a Hoover CRIp and it ain't no secret...the game iz jus saturated with phoney niggaz getting too much shine...then there are the one's who are reputable but can't rap or jus rap abt the same chit every song...how many traccs are these niggaz gonna release reppin they flagg?!?!?! Jus like Rey Ru said you can have someone like Blacc Mikey bang on a tracc but there iz gonna be meat with those potatoes!!!
I was about to say. Z-Ro's nice, but he pushes Crip too. Just because someone's a Crip or Blood, it doesn't mean that they'll only rap about it all the time. Look at YG, you wouldn't guess from "Toot It And Boot It" that he's Piru.

He smart, he made a song that everybody can feel, not just a certain group. now, if he were to make a song called "Salute to Piru" we would not be havin this discussion because he wouldnt have been such a hit.

It all comez down 2 if u willin to "sell out" and go pop or not. Much respect 2 thoze real onez who still push they line even if it meanz not gettin they shine.

@ Classic....I feel u but I cant stand nobody on the radio. I break bread on my local and not so local (LA, LBC) niggaz that aint gon go pop. I know u feel like the niggaz reppin they flag iz talkin bout the same shit over n over but if u think about it artiztz in all typez of muzic tend to talk about the same shit. I guess it comez down 2 what u wanna listen to and who u wanna support. I'll keep supportin tha real and thoze who talk about shit I can relate to. I cant relate to no nigga talkin bout beemer, benz or bentley or how much ice he got or makin it rain in da club. I fucc wit niggaz reppin they hood, sportin golf hatz, chucc t'z and khakiz, shootin dice, slammin dominoez and tellin war or hood storiez. I feel u that it can get too negative tho and when I feel myself gettin negative and wantin 2 tote the heater again then I pop in some Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Isley Broz, Bob Marley or Gregory Isaacz/

Different strokez 4 different folkz

PS- THIS TRACC GO HARD AZ FUCC

real talk. realt talk.

my point is that fans and rappers should not complain about not blowin up.

if you rappin about the same shit over and over and dont know what the problem is, maybe you shouldnt blow.

Einstein said that "insanity is doing the smae thing over again and getting the same result."

look at mitch, he wont stop bein a blood, he wont stop talkin about bangin and lpb on tracks but he wonder why he wont blow. got all hese dudes on his albums talkin about crosstown this, crosstown this. and nobody that is not from the west know what a crossy or a brossy is. i commend him for stayin true to his roots, but it shouldnt be no surprise why pop culture aint fell in love with him.

To keep it real, alot of niggas aint even tryna step they shit up. I think that Southern Cali's downfall was when every dude with stripes got behind the mic.

Its a few exceptions, but just because you a real nigga dont mean your skills is worthey of reppin a coast. It is a good combo though.

Same for Squares to. Just because you can rap dont mean you can rap about G-shit.

^^Exactly...just have some game about yoself. It can be done.
it def can be done. look at nipsey. i guess what im trynna say is that some dudes promote they hood more than they promote themselves in rappin. snoop does a stellar job of finding a good balance. snoop is the real reason why why people thought it was cool to be a g and a P

I feel you but my point was that a person who's a Blood or Crip can rap without necessarily repping for their set.

I agree to a certain extent. The industry don't like gangbangers? Seems like they like fake gangbangers. I'll tell you what, we gonna keep it real over here kus at the end of the day, whether a nigga shine or not, you could not say that I ain't kept it 1000 with you niggas. when we talk about cross towns n shit like that, thats our lingo. Just like the bay got theirs and new york got theirs, but then again niggas don't know what that is out there, but they will know eventually. I don't think it's the lingo, I think it's the same concepts, same flow, same shit in every rap song they put out. No story line or similar to that. Puttin out old tracks you recorded. Laziness and no movement, unorganized. You put a whole album out of killin somebody in every track but i aint seen that many murders on the news locally unless it's another marine killed or somebody's head chopped off in TJ. A few homicides here and there in the town. so we know half these niggas are full of shit. the other half much luv. their is a new huge crowd that like that bubblegum shit in this day and age. I give it to mitch because you rarely hear him say Blood in his raps. Jayo at least made it somewhere and still grindin. MC Ehit, well then nigga is in a well knowned movie. Gotta give em that. Snoop still raps about that shit and is a weenie, and still blew the fuck up. It all depends who you fuckin with too. Who you know, and not what you know. You independent pushin or is someone else puttin you out there. All them other niggas you mentioned shinnin but either got a bad rep or no respect from real niggas so I guess it's much harder to blow and be well respected as a real nigga bangin or not these days.
