Full house of visitors to 49ers
SANTA CLARA -- Coach Jim Harbaugh showed his poker face on Monday.
When asked if winning the NFC West was a big deal or whether it was just a stepping stone, the 49ers coach did not show all of his cards.
"We may be ahead on the chip count, but we don't have a seat at the final table," Harbaugh said.
Perhaps the poker analogy was foreshadowing the arrival of a visitor. On the same day new Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson and his staff visited the 49ers, so did the most recognizable face and voice of professional poker.
Phil Hellmuth, the colorful holder of 11 World Series of Poker bracelets, was a guest Wednesday at the 49ers practice facility. Hellmuth lives in Palo Alto.
49ers president Jed York wrote on Twitter: "Thanks @phil_hellmuth for talking to the team today. Great catching up. Can't wait to watch you win some more tournaments."
