i erased the word from my vocabulary like 4 years ago.

i used to use the word more than black people growing up. now it sounds weird when i hear non-black people use it. when you hear non-black people use the word they're usually trying to impress someone.
the people that sound the most completely ridiculous using the nword are Chinese, Japanese, Pilipinos, Koreans. these types of Asians say the word like they're really proud of themselves and shit and they be some of the most racist people towards black people.

Only difference I see is the ending of the word. Thats just me though. I don't get any personal satisfaction from usin' the word. Don't much care if its "slang" either. There's a time and a place for slang.

Let's just say for the sake of arguement that the word "nigga" means "homie". Why not just say homie? Woudn't that make more sense?

Thats like me sittin here trying to explain how he word "bad" got flipped around into something good.....Calling someone a bitch isn't always referring to a female dog.....I might be calling a woman that shit or a guy thats a coward.....Matter of fact look up the word "bitch" in a dictionary and that word was originally to describe a female dog but its been flipped throughout the years and have more then one meaning.....I can call my friends "my doggs"......That don't mean I'm calling them mutts or anything.......U get what I'm saying.....And I don't even know why I'm on the net trying to explain to any non-black why we use that word towards each other.......You may not ever understand cuz u are not of black decent and its like trying to break down astrophysics to a wino......

I might hear a nonblack use the word and get at them about it but I'm more diplomatic about it......Some blacks are not and will get gangsta with u off top so I'd suggest ya'll watch what ur saying around people.

If ur listening to a song and singing along I guess its okay cuz those are the lyrics to then then that eliminate word from ur vocab.

seems that your saying words should stay exclusive to the race they originally came from. if this happened all across the board, then people wouldnt be able to learn other languages etc.... honestly i think words need to stop being racially exclusive. people are always talking about coming together, then turn around and make lists of words only their race can say. that just causes more division and hostility between races in my opinion. thats just me though

What the fuck u mean "turn around and make list of words only their race can say".....The word "nigga" been here far before some civil rights lets com together shit.

@Seven0Sav......Ain't nobody contradicting shit......The word is still a term of endearment umongst blacks no matter how much pain has been tooken out whatever the original meaning may have been....Ur just steady trying to justify going around saying the word.....They may let that shit slide in the Bay and even other parts of Nor Cal.....Trust me I know cuz I'm from up there but like I said before.....Use that shit within ur circle friends thats okay with it......Don't just assume u can use that word around anyone with no real repercussions......I live in South Central L.A. and if a whiteboy, Mexican, Asian etc. said that shit over here where I live trust and believe they'll be leaving here in meat wagon.....Certain shit just don't fly wit people once u go outside ur neighborhood.

it might be due to me living up there but it dosent bother me anymore if other races say it, it used to trip me out when i first moved up there because at the time that shit didnt really fly in socal, asians dont be sayin nigga like that and dressin all hip hop and shit..ive met lil filipino chicks that say nigga more than me in the bay....dunno....things are alot more segregated in race in socal wheras the bay is a melting pot..the newer generation latinos are into rap but a while back it mighta been percieved as acting black to the older generation...i cant call it..either way the word nigga used by other races dosent bother me now. as a black man. used to a while back but not no more, its just a slang word

i will admit i doubt take at white people sayin it tho they dont really get as many passes on that due to historical shit but if it was talked about beforehand? i wouldnt give a fuck. i just wanna make sure its no side-racist shit. liek calling me my brother.
