Yeah, we also have Lofa Tatupu and Leroy Hill. Aaron Curry is unproven in an NFL game, but yeah I think he'll be a beast, too.

Willis maybe but Ware? Well see this season.
ware is putting up numbers, getting double and triple teamed without another pass rusher opposite him.

merriman has shaun phillips...

demarcus ware has greg ellis, who was often injured since he switched from defensive end to outside linebacker in the 3-4...

and ware is as good at stopping the run/covering running backs/tight ends as he is applying pressure on the quarterback.

you see no weaknesses in demarcus' game...flawless like a mortal kombat victory.

Shuan Phillips aint no one special. Ware is a savage beast, im not denying that but I'll take a 100% Merriman over him anyday.

Willis has better numbers in some areas. But Tatupu went to the S.B. his rookie season, made three consecutive pro bowls. and did all of this while being thought of as a bust draft pick. because of his lack of size and slow speed. it is said that his 40 time was what some OL have done. Everyone has their own opinions and Tatupu being the best is mine.

Fuck the numbers, Willis is better than Tatupu. Period.

Are you trying to say Tatupu is the reason the Seahawks made it to the SuperBowl? You gotta be kidding.

Willis has made it his first two seasons and, going into his 3rd NFL season, is already considered the best linebacker in the league by many, many fans, columnists, analysts, players, coaches and commentators. How many people have ever said Tatupu is the best MLB in the league? Nobody outside of Seahawk fans would even attempt to make that arguement. Not even jokingly.

Just because he was thought of as a bust draft pick doesn't mean he should get extra credit for doing what he has done so far. He's a good MLB, but he's not even close to Patrick Willis.

Luckily, only Seahawk fans (and some of them even have to admit Willis shits on Tatupu) would try to argue in his favor.

And LMAO @ the dumbass grading for the Seahawks. He seriously gave them an A+ because of Lofa Tatupu? What a jackass.

Yes fuck the numbers. I don't care what you say. I am not going to sit here and argue that Pat is a better Linebacker than Tatupu. They are two different linebackers. one is a ILB and one is a MLB. You can hardly compare the two positions. They may play a simular role, but not really. Tatupu is out there working with two OLB's and Willis is working with another ILB and two OLB's. and them other OLB's that Willis works with aren't as good as Willis, whereas the OLB's that Tatupu worked with were about just as good as Tatupu(speaking off previous seasons) Do you catch my drift?

Are you trying to say Tatupu is the reason the Seahawks made it to the SuperBowl? You gotta be kidding
He may have not been the main reason, but he certainly contributed. You can't go to the probowl that same year and not contribute in a major way. It's not like he rode the bench and watched his team make it to the dance without his help.

I really don't care who says that Willis is the best in the league. I know that Willis is a good linebacker. I'm not blind. But that doesn't mean that I am going to jump on the wagon with everyone else and say he's better than Tatupu. I'm going to ride with Tatupu until he doesn't wear a Seahawk uni anymore. Like you said, "fuck the numbers". the numbers seem to make everyone think Willis is better than Tatupu.

Just because he was thought of as a bust draft pick doesn't mean he should get extra credit for doing what he has done so far. He's a good MLB, but he's not even close to Patrick Willis.
That's exactly why he should get a lil' more credit. He turned the tables on everyone and still gets shit'd on? We'll see how well both do this season. I know Tatupu isn't going to have a bad season like the last.

Luckily, only Seahawk fans (and some of them even have to admit Willis shits on Tatupu) would try to argue in his favor.
It's really just a matter of opinion. since you are the one that said fuck the numbers. what else is there to show. they both preform real well on game day.

And LMAO @ the dumbass grading for the Seahawks. He seriously gave them an A+ because of Lofa Tatupu? What a jackass.
yea A+ is a bit too much. Maybe an A or an A-. But who cares what he says. it's all opinions.

^ game over lolll
Chree, shut up, this is grown folx talk. Starting to resemble AZ BOSS now, with that stupid shit. c'mon now.

This right here ends our debate.

We're obviously both gonna be biased, but at least my opinion is shared outside of my fellow Niner fans. You are the ONLY person I have ever heard try to argue for Lofa fuckin Tatupu being better than Patrick Willis. Tatupu is not even a top 5 linebacker, inside or outside, combined or seperated, MLB or ILB. Not in the NFL, hell maybe not even in the NFC.

No, the overall PLAY makes everyone KNOW Willis is better than Tatupu. Do you ever watch Patrick Willis outside of a Seahawk Vs. Niner game? I watch all different teams whenever I get the chance and I pay special attention to teams in the NFC West, I've seen Tatupu play more than enough to know how good or bad he is. He is a good LB, but you're overrating the fuck out of him. Like I said, the only company you'll have on that side of the fence are fellow Seahawk fans. There's a reason EVERYONE else can see it and you can't.

I just don't see how you're getting worked up over me saying I like Tatupu more than Willis. I've already tried to say that Willis is better than Tatupu by numbers in some areas and you said fuck numbers. Me saying that obviously said Willis is better.

And lastly, can you point out where I argued that Tatupu is better than Willis?

You are the ONLY person I have ever heard try to argue for Lofa fuckin Tatupu being better than Patrick Willis.

I knew you were going to drag that in, but that was a statement. I wasn't argueing it. I've already said that Willis is better. But Tatupu is still the best, TO ME.

Also, I'd like to point out, that Willis was a 1st round draft pick, at #11, which means that Willis obviously had enough talent to be drafted so high and he lived up to his expectations. Whereas Tatupu, drafted 2nd round at #45 and EVERYONE outside the Seahawks community doubtd that draft and thought that Tim Ruskell made a mistake drafting him. But Tatupu ended up turning heads and made everyone eat their words. He deserves more credit than what he is getting now. I know he's not the best linebacker in the league right now, but he certainly is up there with the best.
