yall talkin bout sales....ok sales are important but quality is even more important...the massacre was the highest sellin album in a while but was niggaz feelin it?...in 10 years will we be like that shit was classic or that was a good album...get rich was a classic album ...and he talkin bout nas single this nigga got a song talkin bout lickin lolipops ..i understand thats whats hot in the mainstream pop shit but when is the real shit gon come back...once again i aint knockin his hustle cuz he gettin his paper but at what cost?? oversaturating the market wit bullshit and marketin it as gangsta
I don't think you understand that
50 Cent understands that he is a pop artist. He aint no dummy. He's a business man and he's out to sell records. The name of the game is to sell records. In basketball, the point of the game is to score points. If you can get to the lane every time for a layup and an easy bucket, you don't settle for a 20 foot jump shot.
If it wasn't for "In Da Club" (a pop song), "Get Rich..." wouldn't have reached the people it did for them to consider it a classic album.
As far as Nas' single is concerned ... shit, what 50 said made sense. If people would actually take the time to listen to what 50 Cent says, you'd find that dude is a sharp sunuvabitch. Cats automatically hate on him cause he's 50 Cent
and he's winning so they miss out on some of the more insightful shit that the man has to say.
What's the "real shit"? Talkin bout shootin a nigga in every song and all that shit? Cats complain that quality is lacking but y'all want the same old recycled shit over and over and over... but it can't be poppish though.
