There were some good points made. It's just that NYC is one of the biggest cities (if not the biggest) that's constantly in the media. And like somebody said, there are suckers everywhere. And purse snatching & muggings are just stereotypes of NYC. Those happen EVERYWHERE. It just happens that on movies/tv shows that take place in NYC, they depict those more than other shows. Shit, I've been to NYC plenty of times and never had anything bad to me, other than having an allergic reaction to some buffalo shrimp I ate at the All Star Cafe. I like NYC because it's a place where people from all over the world, with all different lifestyles come together. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen elsewhere, it just seems like that is one of the biggest "melting pots." I mean, I don't know where else in the country that I can drive downtown at 2 am and see the naked cowboy in the middle of the street playing his guitar. =) (Seriously, there's a dude called the naked cowboy that stands in the middle of the street with some bikini draws on playing a guitar!!!)

MR. MANOLO,
YOU STRESSED, "How did 911 behumble the cats from ny?"

IT HAPPENED THERE. MUTHA-FUKAS BITCHED UP TOO QUIK, ALL EMOTIONAL AND SHIT AND DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER IN THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. WHY gET ALL EMOTIONAL? THE SHIT HAPPENED.

THEN YOU STRESSED, "And if your comparing the riots in LA, how can ripping up your own hood gonna do you any good?"

THE MESSAgE WAS SENT. YES MUTHA-FUKAS SHOULD OF WENT TO HOLLYWOOD AND BEVERLY HILLS WITH THE SHIT, BUT IT HAPPENED LIKE IT HAPPENED.

THEN YOU STRESSED, ". Another thing, I ain't never heard of Denver being considered amongst the nations hardest cities so why all the bad talk."

THEN OPEN YOUR EYES. FOR THE LONgEST WE WAS KNOWN AS BABY L.A. ALL THE gANgSTAS KNEW OF US AND MOVED THEY SET OUT HERE, PLUS IT WAS A gOLD MINE.

THEN YOU STRESSED, "This seems to me like another useless thread. Yeah you made your point, you don't like NY, but what did you really accomplish?"

MY POINT WAS THAT NEW YORK AIN'T AS HARD AS THEY WOULD WANT THEMSELVES TO PORTRAY. MY POINT IS THAT THEY SHOULDN'T BE IN THE MEDIA AS THEY SHOULD. MY POINT IS THAT THEY WEAK AND WOULD RATHER COME OUT FOR gAY MARRIAgES THEN LET IT BE KNOWN THAT A BROTHA BEIN' SODOMIZED WON'T BE ACCEPTED.

TOXSIK,
YOU STRESSED, "so inorder for new york niggas to be down they gota torch and loot their own hoods to make a point?"

I DIDN'T SAY THEY HAD TO LOOT AND TORCH THEY OWN HOOD. THEY SHOULD OF DID SOMETHIN' WAS MY POINT.

THEN YOU STRESSED, "la riots wasnt cool either."

NOBODY SAID THEY WERE. BUT I CAN RELATE TO THE FRUSTRATIONS FELT AND RESPECT THAT THEY WASN'T gOIN' FOR THE POLICE ACQUITTED FOR INJUSTICES. THEY WASN'T gONNA BE PUSHED N-E LONgER AND I CAN RESPECT PEOPLE STANDIN' UP FOR SAMETHIN'.

RAgIN HOMO(WHAT'S YOUR REAL NAME? ALL THIS FUCCED UP SCREEN NAMES ARE FOR THE BIRDS),

YOU STRESSED, "LMAO!! I think 9/11 behumbled the whole nation man."

TRUE. BUT NOT YOURS TRULY. DIDN'T HAVE SHIT TO DO WITH ME.

SgT. HUSTLE,

YOU STRESSED, "Bringing up 9/11 period has gotta be the most ridiulous card to pull in this argument anyway."

WHY IS THAT?

THEN YOU STRESSED, "There is gay people everywhere, including the hip hop community. Some of the rappers who you all know and love have gone the other way at times--especially on the West Coast. Get over it.

FUK THAT. CALL OUT NAMES SINCE YOU BRINgIN' THAT SHIT UP. IF YOU A FAg YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS RAPPIN'. DON'T TELL ME YOU READ THAT IN THE SOURCE?

IRONIC COMMANDO,

YOU STRESSED, "got damn...the west got just as many succas...if not more...you got a whole city full a "succas and fags" SF...i dont see ya point man...im glad niggas dont locc up and start rioting...i'd like to think that people are smarter than that."

WHETHA THEY RIOT OR COME OUT IN NUMBERS, MY POINT IS THAT MUTHA-FUKAS DIDN'T COME OUT FOR THE RIgHT REASONS. MUTHA-FUKAS SHOULDN'T ACT LIKE SOME LOAKS IF THEY AIN'T. THE SHIT IS PHONEY TO ME.

THEN YOU STRESSED, "you sound like you on some elementary type shit homie."

IS THAT RIgHT? WELL IT'S FUNDAMENTAL TO STAND UP FOR YOURSELF.

LOCAHONTAS,
gOOD POINTS. NEW YORK SHOULDN'T EMBRACE THEY STEREO-TYPES CAUSE THEY ALL LIES.

Honestly EDJ, you've gone so far out with your views that there's no point in discussing the gay rappers with you. They exist, many are popular and go both ways. I have many an industry contact to vouch for this. I don't get my info from the Source...give me some credit.

People "bitching" up over 9/11 is normal...Americans are spoiled and don't think that what happens in other countries could happen here. It's ok to be sad about thousands of people dying. It's called being human.

@ Ragin aka Rippa

If you were gay, I wouldn't care. I think you bring something to the board every time you post. People who are homophobes many times have problems or questions with their own sexuality.

@ SJN14

I don't think it would serve any purpose to call out names, other than to have people think I'm lying or to get people to not listen to otherwise extremely talented individuals just because they have gay tendencies.

I'm still laughing at EDJ's "a mutha-fucka who's gay has no business rappin'! "If you're that scared, go to church and pray.

See the way I see it is like this, I can say I know who on the siccness is faker than a mothafucka. Then someone will tell me to call out names, I dont or won't. It's just a tad bit suspicious.

Not to burst your bubble but I think you're lying either way. One: you dont name people and thus cannot prove anything. Two: You wont name people because you are lying.

I don't really have much to prove to you, so you are free to think what ya want. ;)

Anyone who knows me at all, knows that the last thing I am is a liar. In fact, I'm usually too honest.

I have a ton of industry contacts from LA to NY to Pheonix to Vegas to Philly....I'm linked to a lot of industry insiders due to my profession so I hear a lot of gossip thru the grapevine. In this forum, I don't think calling out names will serve any purpose, but if you are curious about a few of them, Wendy Williams has busted a few out on her show.

Did I say you had to prove anything to me? No, what I said was that if you don't provide proof then you cannot be expected to be believed by either EDJ or myself. >:<

This is irrelevant as I do not know you nor do I want to.

Firstly I don't care about gossip, because gossip is just that gossip. I want truth, hearsay is nothing to me. Wendy Willims has busted out a few names huh?
(Goes checks)
I couldnt find any names given but I found this:
"I would say Keep it real, but by your public deceptions, it is clear to me that you do not. So I will just say keep it tight. Your identities are relatively safe with me." (Wendy Williams)
I got that from:
http://www.io.com/~larrybob/gayrap2.html
so Im not sure as to the validity.

You don't read.

Taken straight from the link:

"That controversy gave birth to rumors and questions about other rappers in the spotlight including DMX (an alleged former hustler inBaltimore), Method Man and Redman ("Why are those two together so much?"), Puffy and Mase (The real reason why Mase left the music industry) and others. Still the homophobia in rap music raged on. DMX, Snopp Doggy Dogg, Ice Cube, Canibus, Common, the late Eazy-E, and, interestingly enough, Public Enemy, rapped fast and hard about the faggots they wanted to waste or man-to-man parts that didn't fit. The Black heterosexual imagination is as deep as any ocean and often fraught with a schizophrenic mixture of homophobia on the one hand and homoeroticism on the other."

The same rappers in that link above said to be homophobes...a few of them have been said to swing both ways. Male insiders who have no vendettas against any rappers are my sources, not "gossip" mongers.

Either way, you can believe as you will, but if you think there are no gay rappers in the closet that are currently getting major spins, you're kidding yourself.

Taken from a message board on the topic of gay rappers:

"MY NAME IS AMORI AND I AM OPENLY GAY SINGER, DANCER,AND RAPPER. AND I WAS RECENTLY SEXUALLY IN VOLVED WITH A HIP HOP ARTIST WHO IS VERY WELL KNOWN IN THE BIZ. THIS RAPPER PROMISED TO KEEP ME PAID AND HELP ME GET A DEAL, BUT SOMETHING HAPPENED (I WONT GO IN TO DETAILS YET ) BUT HE STOPPED TAKIN CARE OF ME AND STOPPED CALLING ME. ALL OF MY GOOD FRIENDS SAY I SHOULD EITHER GO PU BLIC WITH IT OR BLACKMALE THE SHIT OUT OF HIM UNTIL I GET ALL THE THINGS HE PROMISED AND MORE. WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO?"

Male insiders can say a lot of shit. Just because you don't have a vendetta against someone doesnt mean you cant or wont lie.

I do think there might be gay rappers (I don't know there are, at least mainstream). You said you knew who I wanted names, You haven't given me anything but links. You said you held this knowledge so prove it, that is what im asking of you.
