Real talk. I've said this before on other posts, and I think it bears repeating: maybe it's just me, but based on what I've read on message boards like this one, and based on conversations I've had w/ different folks (on the Net, the phone, and in person), it seems that a lot of times, people from OUTSIDE Cali (i.e., the Northwest and Midwest USA, Scandinavia, Poland, etc.) seem to appreciate today's Cali rap (Bay, Central, Southern Cali, etc.) more than those who actually live IN Cali itself do. From that standpoint, I don't blame guys like Playa Jay Tee, B-12, and whoever else for looking at places outside Cali to conduct business and/or give concerts, depending on the situation (i.e., Arizona, Missouri, Colorado, wherever else).

The first time i heard "The Soil" and "Sav Out" on KMEL's On The Block Show I immediately jocked em and from then i highly anticipated a Turf Talk album... And so the day finally arrives............... disappointed. Those are the only 2 songs that I really liked from the album. I wasn't feeling the production at all on the rest of the album. The production was either "annoying" or "boring" and even "boring" and "annoying" at the same time on tracks.
While we are on the subject of Turf Talk I figure I will promote the show I'm doin wit him this month:
October 29th, at the Colonial theater in Sacramento
The Federation w/ Turf Talk, DC (that would be me if you don't already know), Jackpot, Pat Rich, Leatha Face and the executioner from Viva La Bam, PlayGyrl Slim and there will be a lot of big rappers there. For more info go to www.Norcalunderground.com or www.BoBlitzAndDC.com
As far as the Turf Talk album goes, it's heat, you gotta pick up the homie's Street Novelist album. The Fed's cd is also in stores as I'm sure you all know, if you don't have it go get it, thats jus more heat for the cd changer.
I wanna give props to everyone out there that is really stayin up on stuff that new artists in the bay are puttin out. Everytime yall support a homie in the bay it helps all us bay artists out.
