^^ There was a bulletin that said it's a double vinyl. I hope they don't go all hippied out and only release it on vinyl.

Oh and new The Sound Of Animals Fighting sometime in the spring I'm guessing. They said recording will be done within the next month

Oh shit Portugal. The Man are self-releasing a new album soon too.
Looks like 08 is gonna be just as awesome as 07

I realize it was probably a given that P.TM were going to put out at least 4 albums this year, but I just saw the blog.

New Ice Cube, new Donnell Jones or D'Angelo...shit I don't know, I'm just looking forward to this not completely being another horrible year for music.
What are you talking about? 2007 was one of the best years for music I have seen in a long while:

Portugal The Man
Minus The Bear
The Fall Of Troy
Circa Survive
Hopesfall
Chevelle
Electric Wizard
Sevendust
The Kidcrash
Machine Head

...just to name a few. I have gotten more good music this past year than I have in the whole decade of 2000 so far...

^^^I've never heard of any of them, and something tells me none of them are the type of music I like to listen to anyway. In terms of the types of music I like, it was a pretty garbage year.

True...although i figured you would know that we arent talking about rap music, as this forum was created to basically talk about all forms of music BESIDES rap...

I think they just want to seperate it from the OG soul...just like anything thaT SOUNDS like "grunge" is now called "post-grunge"....:ermm:
lol...i didnt know grunge still existed. but yeah i guess its the same concept. who are some of these "post grunge" artists? That era was probably the last time I liked any kind of rock.

"Post grunge" in my opinion is crap. It's artists like Nickleback, 3 Door Down, Puddle of Mudd, etc etc.

I'm a huge fan of grunge music (or better yet that era of rock music because few of the bands that got labeled grunge really were grunge) and "post grunge" isn't even near the same type of stuff. It's more or less watered down rock for the industry aka a easy sell.

THe problem is the label post-grunge, is that its broad. Even some alternative/nu-metal bands get thrown in as post-grunge...which ruins the genre. Nickelback gets labaled as post-grunge...and that sucks...becuase Chevelle is also in the same genre.

I guess its the commercialized version of grunge...becuase its a bit more radio friendly and not as "down home"...
