Ever teacher I've had since 2005 have ruled out Wikipedia as a resource. I've been to 3 different colleges. I'm an IT student. And guess what, they won't allow you to use any Wiki sites.

The sheer fact that anybody can edit a post on Wikipedia makes it un-reliable. I can edit it while doing a paper just to prove my point.
Since your an IT student, tell me if these pages are unreliable/untrue/invalid:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/802.11

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SerDes

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIMM

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamming_code

Please let me know if any of that is misinformation. Thanks.

Now, this NEXT example, you may want to be careful with:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NetBurst

See at the very top? What does it say?
