Activision promises that they're on the way.

Word from Activision is that downloadable maps for Call of Duty 4 are on the way.

"We've demonstrated our commitment to delivering the best multiplayer experience in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and that continues with our plans for new downloadable content," explains Infinity Ward's Community Manager, Robert Bowling. "We're excited about the new maps, and the added gameplay variety, and we can't wait to wrap things up and get online with everyone."

More maps equals more playtime online people!

you will relapse. It's going to be a long struggle, but by the time you get off it, call of duty 5 will drop

Call of Duty 5 Confirmed

Activision Blizzard has confirmed that Call of Duty 5 and Guitar Hero 4 are both in development just hours after news of the company's merger hit the wire. And while the news is unlikely to come as a shock, if Activision Blizzard's recent boasts are anything to go by we could see both of the series reaching bigger and better heights.

That's weak. Hopefully COD4 is one of those games that people play and keep alive for years then, like Counterstrike. It seems like it.

wow, thats stupid as fuck, if true. You'd think after the huge success with cod4 they'd be smart enough to keep it modern. Or, at the very least, maybe they could visit a war that was never really touched in the gaming world, like oh idk, the Korean war. Lots of people died there you know. Maybe Vietnam, but those games don't seem to be as good for some reason (but who knows). Or, they could even pick a war that didn't even involve the US (like fighting in Cambodia and surviving the Killing Fields and fighting against Pol Pot. I'm mean he was even more sick than Hitler). Just not fuckin WWII. I've played so many of these games I'm quite positive I was in the actual war. I've killed hundreds of thousands of Germans over my lifetime, if not millions. fuck.
