I agree with Gas here, so many annoying brats in movies, especially when they just come out. Little kids texting with super glow screens, making dumb comments laughing ect ect.

there should be a copy out for download, people get this movie before it comes out (universal ect)

It surpassed the hype in my opinion. I was not expecting it to be that fucking good. I knew it would be great but seriously it took me by suprise how good it was. I actually liked it more the second time I saw it.

Quick note to what Gas stated: I agree, but we've (my family and friends) find that, that kind of crowd exist only in theaters that happen to be in, or next to a mall (for the most part). There is a theater on one side of the city where the places surrounding the theater are for more adult outting where you don't get the immature crowds. The resterants and club like places outside the theater are rather expensive as well. Something a teen (more than likely) won't have the kind of money for. Granted, but that's what separates the adult from the kids...you have a choice to either spend your dollar there, or drive to Mickey D's (or a rather less expensive spot). Something most teenagers don't really have a choice with for the most part. Due to not driving. I believe if there is no kind of entertainment for a teen outside a theater / after a movie...they'ed rather go to theaters in or next to a mall where they could kill time while they wait for their mommies and daddies to pick them up. At least that's how it's worked out in our neck of the woods. And worked out great!

Back on topic, The Dark Knight excellent!!!! After it ended, I felt it could have kept going cause the movie still had me gripped and felt there were still a few things left open. I'll leave it at that and not spoil it for those that have yet to see it.

On another note: When we walked into the theater (I had my 5 year old son) and some older man comes up to us as we sat down and asked...

"Isn't he too young for this kind of movie? I would tend to think it's rather violent. You should maybe reconsider this."

To where I answered...

"Shut the fuck up and mind your business unless you paid for our tickets!"

Man, looked rather surprised and walked away to where I could hear his wife chew him out for being nosey LOL!!!!

BATMAN 3 Coming Soon?

9:30 AM TEXAS TIME: After the critical and box office success of this Summer’s THE DARK KNIGHT, another Bat-Film is pretty much a no-brainer. Warner Bros. has said publicly that a third one is on their radar and an offer has been extended to director Chris Nolan and the team behind BATMAN BEGINS and TDK. What we don’t know is whether or not Nolan will return for a third film as the director has been silent for the last two months since he stopped doing press for TDK. However… Could a Nolan-helmed BATMAN 3 be further along than we know? Possibly.
Over the last several weeks, I’ve been hearing that very early pre-production on what will ultimately be the third Nolan BATMAN is about to begin. What’s interesting is that info seems to be originating from folks who worked on TDK behind the scenes -- set builders, stuntmen, film crew, etc. -- in Chicago. I have no proof to offer at this time other than first and secondhand accounts from various individuals who are part of that aforementioned group.
So how far along is the next Bat-Flick? My guess is not very far at all. I believe that writers David Goyer and Jonah Nolan both have an idea of what they’d like to do, but there certainly isn’t a screenplay yet. Goyer himself said (at the TDK press junket in June ‘08) that Chris Nolan didn’t contact him about doing another one until three months after BATMAN BEGINS. Going by that timeline, perhaps “Team Nolan” will start discussing a sequel this October. And remember, we didn’t get the official word on THE DARK KNIGHT until July of 2006 -- a full year after BATMAN BEGINS’ run in theaters.
As far as this buzz coming from former TDK crew members, there’s probably something to this as you can’t hire these guys at the very last minute. If sets need to be built and other miscellaneous pre-preproduction projects need to get done, I suspect that readying these things a year and a half/two years in advance is NOT out of the question.

The Los Angeles Times has posted the final part of their interview with Christopher Nolan, who took the time to speak out about the crossover potentials of the Nolanverse and the DC Comics universe:
“I don’t think our Batman, our Gotham, lends itself to that kind of cross-fertilization. It goes back to one of the first things we wrangled with when we first started putting the story together: Is this a world in which comic books already exist? Is this a world in which superheroes already exist? If you think of “Batman Begins” and you think of the philosophy of this character trying to reinvent himself as a symbol, we took the position — we didn’t address it directly in the film, but we did take the position philosophically — that superheroes simply don’t exist. If they did, if Bruce knew of Superman or even of comic books, then that’s a completely different decision that he’s making when he puts on a costume in an attempt to become a symbol. It’s a paradox and a conundrum, but what we did is go back to the very original concept and idea of the character. In his first appearances, he invents himself as a totally original creation.” … “It’s a different universe. It’s a different way of looking at it. Now, it’s been done successfully, very successfully, in the comics so I don’t dispute it as an approach. It just isn’t the approach we took. We had to make a decision for Batman Begins.”
So don’t expect Superman to team up with Nolan’s Batman any time soon, or at all. Nolan also answers a question about the potential studio pressures to make another sequel:
“They’re being extremely gracious. I have a very good relationship with the studio. They know that I really needed to go on holiday and take some time to figure what I want to do next. They’ve been very respectful of that, which is terrific and one of the reasons I enjoy working with Warner Bros.”
I think Warner Bros is playing it smart, which is very unusual for a Hollywood studio. But I’m willing to bet that Warner Bros’ graciousness will disappear as time moves on.
