The Los Angeles Police Department has formed a multi-agency task force to rid South Los Angeles of street gangs, the Los Angeles Daily News reported July 9.
According to Police Chief William Bratton, South Los Angeles has more gang shootings and killings than any other area of the California city. The task force, which is comprised of local and federal law-enforcement officers, has already seized guns, drugs, and ammunition from four separate gangs. Last month, 59 arrests were made, and Bratton pledged many more this summer.
"This is just the beginning," Bratton said. "What we are attempting to do going into the summer months is throw a number of these gangs off guard."
why u think east l.a. aint got more killings then south central? they all mesicans there, if u sayin they hard like u just said, why dont they got more homicides? thats cuz the crips and bloods is in south central tearin shit up, u can say that theres mesican gangs in south central all u want, but south central is home of the crips and bloods and its always had the most homicides in LA County

The city attorney sought an injunction Wednesday against what his office described as one of the "most notorious and deadly street gangs" in South Los Angeles.
City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo filed a lawsuit in Superior Court against the Rolling Sixty Crips and several of its members. The city alleges that the city's largest "Crips" faction was responsible for more than 30 murders in the last two years and has dealt drugs, defaced property and robbed and intimidated residents in the Hyde Park area.
The lawsuit asks the court to bar gang members from gathering, loitering, intimidating people, selling drugs or possessing drugs, alcohol or weapons within an area designated as a community safety zone.
and that 30 murders wuz the ones thats known, theres a lot more that wuznt ever found out, and thats only the Rollin 60s......... so wuts really goin on beeeeyaatch
