mp3 of the album.

Too power-rocky so far. I wanna skip ahead to the End Completes haha
im gonna give it time to soak in before i even say 1 thing about it.

because i didnt think IV was "that great" at first...

... a few weeks later I realized it was obviously their best CD.

The title track is badass. Everything else is kinda meh to me. Feathers, Mother Superior, The End Complete and On the Brink are cool. Just not feeling it as much as SSTB and IKSSE3.

I think its pretty good after one listen. I didnt really feel that there was much of a style change between this album and the last one (IV: 1), but I guess thats expected since its literally named as the sequel album.

I also think we will like it more as time goes on. In 2 weeks lets see what we're saying, lol.

Feathers and the title track are the two biggest standouts for me.
My biggest beef with it is how anti-climatic the ending is. For the nerds like myself who follow the story, this is the end of the whole thing. And it's just kinda like "eh Final Cut throwback, cool song names but nothing crazy happens". This shit's supposed to be like Claudio fucking up Mayo and Wilhelm and destroying the keywork and showing how badass The Crowing is. But nothing really happens.

Oh shit man, you guys gotta listen more. This is a fucking good ass CD. Its way better than the first IV. I cant name a song I dont like really, with The Hound and the End Complete being my faves on it.

I think this album draws more aspects from Classic Rock than any of their other shit, which might be why a few of you arent digging it at all yet. But get into that groove and i guarantee you wont find any filler on here.

Buzz you got a good point at the same time. I guess im looking more to the music than the story, even though I do slightly follow it. I thought all the end complete tracks were decent, with the final one being the weakest.

haha ya, Buckley's the shit.

Interesting sidenote on the album, Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters played all the drums on the album since Chris Pennie couldn't clear up some stuff with Dillinger. But Pennie is still the touring drummer and is supposed to be with the band on all their albums from now on.
