Then you say...

Someone needs to put the "chronic tea" down and sober up...

For one, Oregon has one loss, to a SLIPPING Cal team. The MORE they lose, the WORSE that loss looks...AT HOME I might add...and Kansas does NOT. If Kansas beats #5 Mizzou...and then goes to the Big 12 CG and beats #3 Olkahoma...there is a VERY good chance that Kansas can jump Oregon...as Oregon has already played its bulky part of its schedule.

Right now Saragian has Oregon with a SOS of 19, Kansas 52, and Mizzou 69. However, that will CHANGE once they start goin head to head...The Ducks still play shitty AZ and mediocre OSU...those dont help your SOS..

Oklahoma 7th? Homie, they are 3rd...right on Oregons tale.

Oreogn needs to win BIG against Az and OSU in order to look good...and hope the Big 12 teams DO beat up on eachother.

I guess you are having severe memory loss...do I need to remind you when Oregon at #2 gettin left out of the NC game 6 years ago? De ja vu can be a muthafucka...

But maybe you were too young to remember that.

:ermm:
I said that oklahoma was 7th in the computer rankings, not bcs.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/BCSStandings Homie, go take a look.

and like i said kansas has not played a single good team all year, theyve beaten two teams that are over .500 and barely over .500. you think theyre actually gonna beat oklahoma and missouri, you gotta be kidding me. i know your ability to predict the outcomes of games is porous at best, but please.

in 2001 oregon was not ranked second in the bcs, as they are now. COMPLETELY different situation.

And who has Mizzou beaten? Doesnt Kansas play them in 2 weeks? Are the Tigers ranked #4 or not? Regardless if you think Kansas has played anybody, or if Mizzou is really taht good, the fact remains that Kansas is UNDEFEATED and playinf #4 ranked Mizzou in two Saturdays.

Ask yourself those questions and add that to the crazy ass year we have had in CFB...but ill let you tell it.

As of December 8th, 2001 they were 4th in the BCS, 2nd in the AP.

I like how you feel i have to be perfect with my predictions. I get two wrong and all of a sudden im a shmuck. LOL @ you for that.

Lets fail to realize that I said that Kentucky would lose 3-4 games. That the Gamecosk would lose 5 games. That BC, USF, SC, and Kentucky were ALL renting space inthe top 10. Lets look past the fact that i said Colorado would BEAT Olkahoma...or that Florida would beat Kentucky. I almost called the LSU/Auburn game and it came down to a last second TD pass in the back of the endzone to prove me wrong.

Lets also look past the prediction i made that Cal would beat Oregon...

But youre right...what do i know?

well, no one can predict every single game wrong, not even you. dont forget usc over oregon.
LOL @ you pointing to one game that i got wrong, in which Oregon ESCAPED more than they won. How does it feel to beat a back up QB, buddy?

I luv the sled of arrogant, delusional bandwagon fans that the Ducks have brought fourth this year. Its funny how they just pop up out of the word works, talk big and think their shit dont stink.

Again, did Oregon even have a football team prior to 1994?

And how many NC's do you have in your trophy case?

Ill let you think about it....get back to me when you can. Take as much time as you need. Thanks.

BTW

From ESPN.com:

2. Oregon (8-1, 5-1 Pac-10)

Pros: The Ducks are as explosive as any team in the country, scoring at least 24 points in each of their nine games. Quarterback Dennis Dixon might now be the Heisman Trophy favorite. The Ducks seemingly have the easiest path among the BCS title contenders in winning out with three unranked opponents left to play. Oregon plays at Arizona on Thursday night, then travels to UCLA on Nov. 24 and hosts rival Oregon State on Dec. 1.

Cons: The three-game finish is hardly daunting and doesn't give Oregon much of a chance to really make a statement to voters. The Ducks have to win each of those games by a sizable margin. They have beaten only two ranked opponents: 24-17 over No. 12 Southern California and 35-23 over No. 4 Arizona State. They lost to then-No. 6 California 31-24 in Eugene, Ore., on Sept. 9. Oregon has suffered its share of injuries, losing receivers Brian Paysinger and Cameron Colvin and tailback Jeremiah Johnson, but the Ducks have been able to mask those personnel losses so far.

And...

3. Kansas (10-0, 6-0 Big 12)

Pros: Kansas and Hawaii are the only unbeaten teams left in Division I-A. Everyone keeps waiting for the Jayhawks to lose, but they keep winning. Kansas blew out Nebraska 76-39 and won at Oklahoma State 43-28 in its last two games. If the Jayhawks win three more times -- they play Iowa State on Saturday, No. 5 Missouri at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Nov. 24 and possibly Oklahoma in the Dec. 1 Big 12 championship game -- they'll have a strong argument for a chance to play in the BCS title game.

Cons: You can't punish Kansas for its Big 12 schedule -- the Jayhawks don't play Oklahoma, Texas and Texas Tech during the regular season -- but you can penalize them for their soft nonconference slate. Kansas played non-league games against Central Michigan, Division I-AA Southeastern Louisiana, Toledo and Florida International. The Jayhawks have beaten only two teams with winning records: 6-4 Central Michigan and 6-5 Texas A&M. A 30-24 win at Kansas State doesn't seem as impressive after the Wildcats lost consecutive games to Iowa State and Nebraska.
These scenarios have been talked about going into THIS last week of play...in pretty much EVERY major game. The fact that you think Oregon is invincible at that spot is exceptionally delusional.

Does anybody on here remember 2000 when there was the 3-way 1-loss team tie between Florida State, Miami & Washington. The computers spit out Florida State as the #2 team entitled to face Oklahoma, but the Canes fans were PISSED that they got the nod b/c they beat Florida State. However, Washington fans were also PISSED b/c they beat Miami, yet this part of the debate got largely ignored, everybody was focusing on FSU and Miami.

That year is when I really learned just how strong (and hurtful in the sport of college football) the east coast bias can be. Not so much that the computers didn't spit out Washington, they were probably no more deserving than either Miami or Florida State, but more the fact that there was no CONVERSATION nationally about it, it was as if we didn't exist.

I think Oregon is better than all 3 of those Big 12 teams, but unfortunately, if Oklahoma or Missouri ends up w/ 1 loss, I think they'll get the nod partially b/c of late season wins that Oregon doesn't have a chance to get, partially b/c of the bias.

*PS* I am rooting hard against Oregon to go to the BCS title game b/c of the effects doing so could have on Oregon's recruiting blue-chippers from the state of Washington. It's bad enough that they got Stewart, if they start getting more, UW football will be really fucked. 2 of the top 4 recruits in the state currently have offers from Oregon and are in the midst of the recruiting process.

@ ChronicIceTea

Hey man I really feel you w/ this whole process b/c like I posted, I know what it's like to be a fan of a 1 loss team who's the odd man out. Oregon may still make it, just hope that either LSU loses or the winner of the Big 12 is a two-loss team or possibly a 1-loss Kansas team.

And I'm definitely down for the Pac-10, I would not be rooting against Oregon if Mike Belotti signed a contract that stated he or his staff would never offer a player from the state of Washington a football scholarship.

But to think that aren't thats delusional too, they are playing their best football in 6 years. I think calling the USC game an escape is kinda lame. They won plain and simple, When cal beat oregon, no one was talking that cal escaped that game, everyone just clowned oregon for that fumble.

What does playing the best ball in 6 years have to do with them being in danger of NOT going to the NC game? Its a FACT that they are NOT guarnteed a spot in the NC game if they win out...that is the POINT of the argument here.

No, Cal ESCAPED that game too...I know that and everyone else who has half a brain should too.

Look, I am not taking anything away from Oregon. YES, they are a good team. They look dynamic on offense and incosistent on defense. However, they beat an ASU team that had played NO ONE until they met Oregon and lost, and Oregon beat a USC team that that had a backup QB, and a banged up OLine...and STILL only "escaped". However, the computers see the # next to the school name and thats all that matters.

Oregon is DONE with their meaty schdule, and play cupcake teams in WSU, a schizoprhenic UCAL team, and a OSU team that has a banged up Bernard and a QB that has more picks than TD's this year. OSU does, however, have a vicious defense...maybe the best Oregon will face all year save for USC, in which they had their lowest YDS total against. That being said, Oregon has the EASIEST schedule to win out in compared to LSU, Mizzou, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

Oregon is NOT safe there and control their own destiny to be in POSITION to play in the NC game. But, they are gonna have to really score some points and blow these teams out of the water to have a chance to cement that position, and hope that some of these teams DO beat up on eachother.

I mean if you cant form your own opinion then I guess I understand
LOL @ this rhetorical comment

Its not about OPINION...how dense are you?

Can Kansas leap frog Oregon if they win out? YES.

Can Mizzou leap frog Oregon if they win out? Not as likely as Kansas, but YES.

Can Olkahoma leap frog Oregon if they win out? Not as likely as Kansas, but YES.

Can Oregon stay in the #2 spot with convincing wins? Yes, but they may need some help.

Yes, TRUTH hurts...i know.
