Get the "Miseducation of the Bloods" dvd and you'll see. Basically in 1993, a dude was INSPIRED by the West Coast Bloods, he decided to follow their foot steps.. but he also incorporated other ideologies to make it better. He even took the name UBN. He got other hustler sets and made their book of knowledge... and those original sets all became "Bloods".

Problem with this is that in the midwest and south, alot of West connected sets mesh with East coast sets.... so you get these katz that claim west coast sets and do east coast things. Its fuckin hilarious and idiotic too.

when i went to NY, I actually kicked it wid some 5 riders. The shit they do is so different. They got "OGs" that are in their early 20's. fools chose sets like they chose lunch. People get labeled "food" all to often. And then you get cats that make up some weird names for their set.

I respekt alot of the street cats hustle. And they spread over alot of territories.

oh well. West Coast gangs set up shop there, but they know they cant do the same out here.

I'm cool with alot of dudes from those sets. But they respect what the West Coast has done. Others.. they dont know whats up.

Okay, let me break down the 5/6 thing.... Back in the 91/92 when B's and C's were getting established in the midwest the majority of the gangs in the area were peoples/folks. What happened was the Bloods and peoples ( mainly VL's and BPS's ) formed an aliance due to the " relationship" already established with the BPSB's out of the Jungles/Bity in LA. What this did was basically set it up to where if A Blood was having funk , then the VL's would have there back and vice versa. What you saw in some instances was BLOODS wearing flags to the left and sometimes throwing up the 5 and crescent as a respect thing towards the peoples. Also you saw VL's sporting red, when their "real" colors are gold and black. Folks and Crips hooked up because of circumstance... Now you saw this alot back in the day when I first moved down south in 93 ( Dallas / Fort Worth ), but not always. The majority of Fort Worth/ Dallas got popped off by westcoast bangers ( Cali, Denver, etc. ) so most banged to the right and no the history. This isn't the same as the eastcoast B dogs. ALL of there "knowledge" is based on people and folk knowledge that's been twisted up. You can't compare the eastcoast bangers to the south/midwest. 90% of those hoods were started or influenced by the west and stick to the original code.

All that shit is true, but the fact remains they are doing it. The Bloods 5 is a bit different that the People's 5. The 5 is actually the number of letters in "Blood".

I dont know if that was incorporated when Folks/Crip Alliance was going against the Bloods/People's... or if the dude that made NY Bloods up took that from something else.

Any Blood or Crip set's outside of L.A. that is not endorsed by Los Angeles reputables are fake as fuck whether ur in the states or not.....That's like these new age fake ass Black Panthers....They are not endorsed by Bobby Seale, Cathleane Cleaver and real OG Panthers.....The BPP chapters in NY, CHi, H-Town, LA, Iowa etc. actually had permission to start up chapters and real Panthers showed them the way....Same shit goes for actual streets gangs Bloods, Crips, Hells Angels, MS-13, Mongals, Vice Lords, Latin Kings and any other established set out there.
