@ moe, what is your program of choice now for tracking and editing?? what made you not like pro tools anymore?? im tryin to weigh all my options before i spend hella loot on somethin.. i like pro tools systems, but im always willing to try new programs, cause i may stray away from pro tools also if i find somethin i like better

i see you and heresy talking about cubase, for some reason, i never really had much time to get into that program... maybe i should fuck wit it a lil more

I'll jump in and say I agree with Heresy and YoungMoe about Pro-Tools/Cubase SX. Pro-Tools is nice to have for compatibility reasons but don't be fooled into thinking it's the most powerful and robust setup to use, because it's not.

We discussed this many times before so I'll leave it at that and end with saying, don't buy a PT setup before looking into Cubase SX first.

i went to Nuendo 3...
there's no point of me paying all that loot for Pro Tools when i hate the converters, apogee is the lowest of the top notch converters(except for lucid) and they still absolutely poop on the Digidesign ones, including their HD3s systems etc.

i was going to go with Lavry converters, but i wanted the firewire option, so i could completely bypass my soundcard...

i went with Nuendo 3 over Cubase SX because of the post-production options, i want to geti into film scoring and film editing etc, so Nuendo is for me, if just for audio, go Cubase SX3

hit me on the PM about the 002

and really take your time with Cubase, it's a little strange using it after Pro TOols, but once you get used to it, it's awesome

but Pro Tools is one of the best editing programs there is, in my opinion, you just don't want to be locked in their world, and that's what they do

i have a copy of Nuendo 2 for sale if you're interested
