Depending on what the Lakers pick up (O'Neal), they may finish 8th. Clippers and Rockets are maybes; Sonics or Blazers could take the Rockets spot. Hornets are a team I'm watching...they may be in the race; I'm just not convinced YET.

I don't think the dubs are going to make the playoffs this upcoming season. We got lucky the Hornets were plagued with injuries this past season. And I don't think we beat the laker's once this past season. And the lakers got back D-Fish.

1.mavs
2.nuggets
3.suns
4.spurs
5.jazz
6.hornets
7.houston
8.lakers

The grizzlies upgraded with the addition of Mike Conley Jr. and Darko Milicic, 2 areas where they needed major upgrades. Look out for Rudy Gay to have a breakout year, and Mike Miller stay strokin them tre's. We have to watch out for them as well. And the clippers future lie in the hands of Brand's injury and when he can play again.

I'm only listing the west, the east is too hard since so many good players went from the west to the east. KG, Ray Allen to the Celtics, Zach Randolf with the Knicks, Rashard Lewis with Dwight Howard and the Magic, J-Rich to the Bobcats. With all those players traded, all four teams weren't in the playoffs this past season, so this makes it interesting with four losing teams making major upgrades.

T'Wolves are by far the worst team in the West right now. I think the Mavs will slip a few spots and the Spurs will be the number one seed on a vengeance and continue there good play from the playoffs. Warriors will be a higher seed since they will be playing well for a whole season, instead of only half a season like they did last year. Unintentionally, I created some interesting playoff matchups.. Lakers/Spurs, Suns/Nuggs, and two rematches, Warriors/Mavs and Utah/Rockets.. McGrady will without doubt lose in the first round again.

Cavs only slide to five because you can only have two teams from the same division in the top four. Pistons and Bulls will have the top two records in the East, and the Pistons will win around 54 which is a few more than the Bulls' 51.. The Celtics will win around 47 and there division. The Heat will win around 45 and there division. The Cavs will win around 49, but have to fall to the 5 seed. Raptors will have around 43-44 wins. The Wizards will be at 500 and the Nets will be a game or two below.

better than the heat, yes.. I think the heat suck. the celtics got a good team on paper, but Im not ready to declare them the 4th best team in the east just cuz they signed some good players after the season they just had

Brand isn't out for the year.

Seattle and Portland have enough to maybe crack the top 8.

Houston wasn't even solid last year. Francis? Wow. With Mcgrady hurt all the time, that won't mean shit.

SEATTLE IS ALL YOUNGSTERS WHO HAVENT GREW MUCH OR WHO HAVENT PLAYED A GAME IN THE LEAGUE AT ALL. ONLY ONE BESIDES DURANT THAT IM A FAN OF IS WILCOX. PORTLAND GOT A BETTER CHANCE AT PLAYOFFS BUT I PUT THEM AT THE 9TH SPOT JUST CUZ THEY NEED AT LEAST 1 MORE YEAR. HOUSTON WAS SOLID ENOUGH TO GO 52-30 IN THE WEST. I THINK THERE GOOD

AND FOR THE HEAT, WADE WILL BE HEALTHY AND I THINK WADE AND SHAQ IS STILL A GOOD COMBO. I DONT THINK GETTIN SMUSH PARKER WILL DO MUCH BUT WITH PENNY HARDAWAY COMIN BACK HE'S GONNA AT LEAST HIT 30/10 A GAME. LOL IM LYIN BOUT THAT LAST PART BUT I CANT WAIT TO SEE SOME VETS BACK ON THE FLOOR THIS YEAR. BRING BACK REGGIE

With all the major upgrades in the East on losing teams, I don't think the Heat have a chance to make the playoffs...Shaq was done 2 years ago after he won another ring. They rely too heavily on D-Wade, they wore him out and he got hurt, it was bound to happen. They don't have a second option. Celtics do have a good team on paper, but chemistry remains to be seen and their depth is lacking with exception to the SG spot. They need a better PG than Rondo, and signing a combo shoot-first guard in Eddie House ain't gonna do it. They are solid at SG, Ray Allen and Tony Allen are a great duo at that spot.

Rondo
Ray Allen
Paul Pierce
Kevin Garnett
Kendrick Perkins

That lineup spells half-court offense, and they need a PG to run things and make good decisions. But then again Pierce likes to the run the offense as well. The East will be exciting to watch this year as spots are up for grabs. The West will be fun to watch with everybody fighting for the last 3 spots.
