nobody's perfect, not even your favorite rapper....

personally, I'd like to see him surround himself with a better supporting cast, besides Krizz Kalico who is definitely nice...

and for Tech himself, I'd really like to see him record a little less party shit, I dont need 8 songs about bitches money and liquor on every CD... I'd also like to see him use his versatility a little more on his hooks, instead of relying on Kalico for a good hook

If he could just get sum really bangin ass beats like the ones on MLK and even better than those, he would be money.

Get more women on hooks and more catchy hooks that everyone can sing along with. Iv noticed alot of hits have women on the hooks. Dont have Krizz be on every damn hook, yeah he is good and all but Tech needs to change it up, with Krizz, himself and women.

Are you all menstruating? This thread comes across as bitchy in my opinion. It is lacking a positive message. I understand the concept of constructive criticism but this comes across as piss and moan to me. It seems like the number of critics have grown exponentially. Instead of coming across with some nitpicking bullshit how about voicing your 2 cents about what you think would be cool.

For instance,

I think it would be cool if strange started an annual show here in the kc area that showcased all the strange music artists. I would love to see something like that put into motion. Let kalico do a few of his tracks, kutty could do his set, skatterman and snug brim could shut it down, critical bill could rock the house and tech could put the icing on the cake. That would be fucking sick... annual organizing of the strangers...

one thing I'd like to see Nebulizah improve upon.....
conveying your opinion while remaining positive for the greater good.

p.s.
don't be catchin feelings over this shit.... It's just constructive criticism about eliminating negativity.

i don't think this comes across as a bitch fest. he could "soften" the title and make it say "how do you make one of the best rappers on the planet THE best rapper of all time"...but it be saying the same thing really.

agreed...i like tech over layered, complex (but not overproduced) beats with nice instrumentation. not a huge fan of the minimalist beats

less party ish
agreed. I LOVE that each album has had some great party but would prefer only a couple per album and enjoy.

I personally prefer his introspective tracks the best and his voice and delivery lend well to anthems (which are diff from "party tracks"). i even prefer his hardcore "i'm the baddest m'f in the streets" tracks to his party tracks, so long as he isn't talking about shit that just ain't tech...killin, shootin' people, etc.

This aint a bitch thread at all... If we have opinions that we feel will better Techs future music than we are gonna fuckin say them. That aint bitchin, its just people bringing forth what they would like to see change as Tech progresses. It is all positive, just cuz we arent stating positive things, doesnt mean the overall purpose isnt positive. Its shit that should change to make more positive music 4 Tech...

What the fuck would a Strange Music show in KC every year do, to help gain Tech exposure and more fans? Fuckin nothing. KC is not where Tech is gonna blow up, he has ridden that wave to its end already. Hence the reason he moved to LA. That idea would do nothing to boost Techs career.

People on here act like nothing bad can ever be said about Tech. He is not fuckin God, ruler of all that is rap. He aint perfect and there is shit I and others feel he should change... I love Tech and all, but there is room for some criticism... Bottom line

more beat variety, i love ds2 and seven, but i miss the older producers like tekniko bros and ronz

more tech and less krizz on the hooks, like krizz and all, but tech has delivered some of my favorite hooks

and 1 thing that has been growing on my nerves is the increased amounts of "chea!!"'s after every line, its ok most of the time but sometimes takes away from the song

couldn't agree more

but rather continue talking about bitching, i'm going to advance the thread with suggestions:

not only better beats but also varied beats...it seems that tech relies on one producer too much to provide for these last two albums (which isn't always bad...stoupe does all the beats for jedi mind tricks and i love it)...it just seems tech doesn't have any real chemistry with the producers

reach out to the east coast a little more like they have reached to him...it's definitely going to help expand fanbase if he got an east coast artist on an album that people doesnt usually associate him with like cage (each could bring some dark shit) or AZ (lyrically a dream compilation)

I'd like to see Tech network with artists more well known in the music industry willing to vouch for an upcoming album telling their fans to "pick this shit up, it's always fire with tecca nina!"

Kinda like how Jay gave a chance to Ye

Don't get me wrong, my opinion is no better than yours or anyone else's. The way you stated your view was constructive. You expressed what you personally thought and you left out the negative comments of "aww this or that fucking sucks". You also elaborated on why you feel the way you do.
Theezy said:

That statement holds merit and your comment was to suggest ways to get a hit.

As far as the kc show idea goes. I didn't figure that an annual kc show would create national exposure, I was thinking more along the lines of some kind of "tradition". Tradition might not be the right word so don't try to twist my point up in knots. A yearly show in the home town exclusive to strange would generate revenue for the label that they would not have to split with other artists outside thier label. It might not work, you could be right, but it could turn into something that people travel to kc once a year just to see.

Cyrus, I wouldn't call him my favorite emcee and spend hard-earned money for my wife and I to go to his shows if I didnt enjoy pretty much everything he puts out

That being said, this forum is and always has been showin nuthin but mad-ass love for Tech and Strange... I aint hatin or bitchin one bit, I'm just pointing out some things I see that may have room for improvement, and that is what I asked other people to do...

and as far as not liking the people he works with, I never said I didnt like them, I said he could surround himself overall with a better supporting cast, because honestly the only one on Strange who comes close to him as an emcee is Krizz Kalico... Kutt is cool, Skatterman and Snug Brim are aiight... I just think if Strange expanded and a few more talented emcees got on board, they could have an actual Strange Noise tour with STRANGE ARTISTS, not shit like Kottonmouth Kings and Hed P.E. because honestly alot of Tech fans cant stand shit like that

Like I said, this is all my opinion, I'm not trying to bitch, just makin suggestions

I wouldn't mind strange leaving out the Moaning, Groaning and Sucking from their songs. I'll be playing a cd at the crib with some honeys, then sex down south comes on or real sex, and they start lookin' at me funny like i'm trying get some ass, which i am, but anyways some of you might feel me.

your opinion matters just as much as mine or anyone else's. I took it wrong based on the thread title. I read this right after reading another thread about 'why doesn't the website have the lyrics yet'. It's threads like this that are worth taking the time to read. This actually has a purpose behind it and it seems that everyone is adult enough to take the time to attempt to comprehend other peoples views. It's all good, we all want to see the same thing, the strange music industry takeover:cool:

i think tech needs to really improve his flow. his technique just isnt cutting it along side with all these greatly trained mainstream rappers

hahahaha

on the real though if i'd have to answer this thread i'd probably say something like
it'd be awesome if tech just made songs without calculating too much. just make whatever topic, rhythm, concept, beat etc comes to mind
instead of building these walls around him like "ok this song's gonna be my G side and that song is gonna be my King side of things, and this ones gonna be for the fans of dark shit...etc etc... " instead of just tappin into the creative and going for it

and ofcourse i don't know whether tech is doing that or not but my instinct is that he is a bit(which really doesnt mean anything to anyone else but me)
that kind of categorizing is good sometimes but usually it just builds walls around you and restricts the artistic output

i dont know if that makes sense or not but hey

They used to do a K.C. show just like that. It was at the uptown, around Christmas time.
