One thing though that people dont realize is I doubt east coasters 'dirty south' heads and all them have really heard banging ass west coast underground...im talkin like older lynch, fuckin some keek da sneak, fully loaded u know the shit that really hits hard...they think west coast is snoop dogg dre and nocturnal who is garbage...thats their definition of west coast...i bet if any good ass west coaster went out to wherever and sat in a booth on the sidewalk bumpin their own shit people would take notice, and folks would buy cds. But since thats not the option everywhere...I'd say the bay could have a future...well i say the bay and sac...cause thats really the same type o shit...more a northern cali sound than anything else...but its gonna be hard. Thats true that east coasters NY especially dont wanna hear anything but east coast rap...thats their loss. The funny thing is u got shit like Alicia Keys and Eve talkin about 'gangster lovin' when u know Alicia keys especially straight A student couldnt tell a gang from a group of Japanese immigrants... Id say the bay's main problem is underexposure...people are out there thinkin radio MTV rap is street shit...but look at 50 cent...if u listen to his vocals what kind of style is he closer to west or east? definitely west..I think its just proof the audience is ready for something different....the only sad thing about the bay blowin up is so many of the pinoeers either passed on or dont have it like they used to so people arent gonna hear what was the best of the best...the good thing is as long as quality rappers are around to pick up the torch they can still show how deep the sound really is...and im not saying everyone out now is wack...but u know for example RBL, Cougnut who arent around to show folks what they were about or some artists we agree are not at the same level just makes it different. They not gonna get as hyped as we did the first time we heard kil a hoe bammer weed season of the sicc all that. But in any case northern cali being racognized is still all good. the bay is the bay regardless.

and what we all need to do...is put our money on one rapper, i'm serious...get Quinn some Rick Rock, Dre, Kayne West, Just Blaze, Sean T beats...and let him blow the scene up for us...
That shit is real, but if we were to do that, who and how would we pick tha artist? how are we asured that that artist will come back for us? i dig tha idea... holla! 1one1

Quinn would be the cat to start with...his putting out albums since 14 adds a little something to his repetoire, make it more marketable...
He's going to be getting a little buzz with the West Coast Lyricist Lounge album i'm thinking, plus he's already been exposed to people outside of this area...
as far as E-40, he's a great rapper, one of my favorites...but he's older now, we need a young cat to gain shine...

i'm not saying Quinn is the best rapper, but put it like this, if i wanted to open up interest in the bay area music game...and money at the same time
i'd drop a San Quinn Mac Mall duo album...fuck the bullshit, unbeatable album, with great production, INTERSTING PROMITIONAL IDEAS not your standard 40,000 flyers half of which go inside record stores BLEHHHHH....the album would make a fortune, and adding that both Quinn and Mall are solid people...it's unstoppable
they're stage presence is also unparralled in the bay area rap game in my opinion...

I agree with hooking up with some big producers. Its seems to me ya'll trying to impress the east coast with some of this bs that is spoken. Fuck the east will still got love in the south and midwest. Yea most of are west coast rappers are talking about gang bangin but thats their fucking life thats what they go thru in they hood so cant knock them for that and just for that alone the east will never respect it cause they aint knowin about it. Basically niggas(rappers) need to stop talking about if this rapper do this and this rapper do that and worry about what they doing to better them self in the game. I would like to send a big fuck you to kmel for not playing bay shit . Now that you can bitch bout. So that my thoughts on. Like it or Not.

unfourntltly to get on mtv you have to look and sound a certain way, the typa people that watch mtv aint feelin e-40's flow. Even with the neptunes doin a track id doubt it would change peoples minds. To blow up you gotta make music that mainstream mtv audience is gonna eat up, and no one in the bay is doin that. Everyone in the bay is makin bay music, and the mainstream just aint feelin that type of music. Only way someone in the bay is gonan blow up is if they make mainstream pop-rap.

yeah thas exactly how it is as far as east coast go....but down south has been up on our shit....i got folks from Florida/Louisiana/Texas all the way bacc ta Arizona that bump Lynch, Bo, RBL, all that shit and they love it.....if Northern Cali artists would get out that way more often and promoted harder in the South I think we can win em over better than east coast cuz hella south cities got ma fuccaz that goin through life not much different than West Coast...they bangin & they slangin and they like ta hear bout that shit...........

If the West coast took itself LESS serious---

if you wanna entertain folks, make music...but If you just wanna open up and share your life and make people feel sorry for you, write a fuckin book...
That's what separates the Bay from the mainstream though...the fact that the music is REAL.

...and it has been written, it's just put in audio (to entertain with music).

Also, im getting tired of people trying to get the respect of the east coast. Rappers alienate thier core audiences just to get some precious radio play in NY, eg Snoop. I say fuck NY, west coast rappers need to make CDs for the west coast with funky azz beats. People wanna hear that, NY always bites our shit anyway, let them come to us...

YES!!!!!!!

2 why do you think that 40 "needs" to hit radio harder wit the tunes to blow
let's not for get 40 gets way more % of profits then any artists on radio so he can sale a fraction and still pull a profit can someone give me an amen!!!!
