switching qb's and losing your best lineman is changing philosophies? ok.

and no, not bottom of the afc in offense, just in win totals

how does getting better on the offensive line and starting a QB that threw 11 TDs and only 1 INT with the 2nd best QB Rating in the entire NFL not to mention a good win percentage when he starts the game (5-3 with us should have been 6-2 with us last season) make us worse on offense?

you are really on a smack trip if you believe we will have the worst record in the AFC this season...lol

No way will the chiefs win 8 games, the only people who are saying they will be decent this season are of course chiefs fans. More like 4 or 5 is about right.

HAHAHAHA

go ahead and hate all ya'll want...you Raider fans crack me up...you sorry bastards havent beat us in damn near 5 years, now you guys think you have a "shot" because our offense is so "shitty"???? You people put wayyyyyy to much emphasis into preseason games is ridiculous...

Denvers defense has looked like SHIT this entire preseason...you dont see me discounting them for the year do ya??? You people soak up everything you read or see in the media.

I just find it funny that Raiders fans believe this is the year they get out of the AFC WEST cellar and my Chiefs take their place....LOL

yeah right! The Raiders are still the JOKE of the ENTIRE NFL, a team that has won only 15 games since they were BEAT DOWN in the Super Bowl....15 games? LOL what makes you guys believe this is the year that your luck changes? your offense is still CRAP, and your defense is nothing great...LJ will tear you guys a new asshole again this year! until you beat us once in the near future you have no reason to talk down on my squad like your team is superior! LOL

YOU'RE OVERREACTING BRO. NOBODY IS SAYING THE RAIDERS ARE "SUPERIOR" TO THE CHIEFS. I'M FULLY AWARE THAT WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO TILL BE GET BACK INTO CONTENTION. WHAT I'M SAYING IS THAT THE MARGIN BETWEEN YOUR TEAM AND OURS HAS NARROWED A LITTLE. YOUR TEAM IS NOT AS GOOD AS THE CHARGERS AND I CAN'T SEE YOU BEING AS GOOD AS THE BRONCOS. SO HMMM.. WHERE DOES THAT PUT YOU?
LOOKS LIKE 3RD PLACE IN THE DIVISION. RIGHT ABOVE WHERE WE WERE LAST YEAR.

WHAT I'M FAIRLY CERTAIN OF IS THAT WE WILL BEAT YALL AT LEAST ONE OF OUR GAMES AGAINST EACHOTHER THIS SEASON. OBVIOUSLY THAT WILL PROBABLY BE THE GAME IN OAKLAND. YES, IT'S TRUE- YOU GUYS HAVE HAD A LONG STREAK GOING AGAINST US. BUT IF YOU LOOK AT 90% OF THE GAMES.. THEY'VE ALL BEEN VERY CLOSE. YOU MIGHT HAVE WON THEM ALL, BUT NOT IN ANY KIND OF DOMINATING FASHION. SO WHAT SCARY AND ME ARE SAYING IS THAT THE STREAK WILL END THIS SEASON. MOSTLY FOR THE FACT THAT YOUR SQUAD GOT CONSIDERABLY WORSE, AND OURS IS GETTING A LITTLE BETTER. YOU'VE LOST SOME KEY PLAYERS. WE'VE UPGRADED OUR OFFENSE. OH AND BY THE WAY- MOST NFL ANALYSTS WILL AGREE: OUR DEFENSE IS GREAT

YOUR MARGINS OF VICTORY OVER US THE LAST FEW SEASONS HAVE BEEN TOO CLOSE FOR YOU TO FEEL SO CONFIDENT.

THIS SEASON WE WILL SPLIT AND CLOSE THE GAP.

BTW- DON'T EVER TRY AND COME AT ME LIKE I'M SOME KIND OF DUMB RAIDER FAN. PEOPLE AROUND HERE WILL VOUCH OTHERWISE.

GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON HOMIE.

whoa whoa whoa there tough guy...i was with you throughout your entire post until you said that shit....get real now...empty threats on a internet message board are pretty fuckin lame dont ya think?

I hear ya on alot of points you made...especially with the chiefs/raiders rivalry all our games are dogfights and close...when we play eachother its a god damn war...lol and I love it.

i just dont understand how everyone is saying we are going to be worse this season...our offense and defense is going to be alot better than it was last season...we really didnt have much of an offense last year and we still did pretty well same goes for our defense.

losing shields isnt as bad as people make it out to be...last year i seen his skills declining greatly, and i understand why he retired...enter John Welbourne at RG (his natural position) where he plays real good...its about even slightly better if Shields was still here...then look at LT....Jordan Black who i liked to call I-65 because he was like a highway letting everyone pass has now left the team...enter Damion McIntosh....a HUGE upgrade to Black...so basically we have gotten better on the OLine...not worse like most people believe.

we also lose Trent at the beginning of the season last year Huard comes in and does a helluva job with a great QB Rating (2nd in the NFL) and leads us to some wins, Trent comes back and we dont do sowell...we'll be alright at the QB spot...now if we didnt have Larry back there, i would be more worried about Huard...but im not at all...we'll be alright in the backfield.

we upgraded our WRs too, they might not have been that great last season either, but they still did alright...we'll be better at that position too.

only reason i see why people are hating on us so bad for is because of the poor preseason showing and the talking heads on TV always bringing up the same old crap about LJ getting overworked and not having an OLine...that shit gets old fast.

like i said...i just dont understand why everyone believes we'll be a shitty team this season...we've improved our personel not made it worse...

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I NEVER THREATENED YOU. I AGREE THAT WOULD BE LAME IF I DID. BUT I DIDN'T. I JUST STATED THE FACT THAT I'M NOT A DUMB RAIDER FAN AND NOT TO EVER COME AT ME LIKE ONE, BECAUSE I'M NOT.

HERE'S WHAT SOMEONE AT ESPN SAID ABOUT THE CHIEFS THIS SEASON. NOW THIS IS DOGGING THE CHIEFS.

31. Kansas City Chiefs
Can't NFL Films produce 32 versions of "Hard Knocks," so every team gets properly covered? Consider what we learned about the '07 Chiefs. The Brodie Croyle-Damon Huard QB battle was so uninspiring, Herm Edwards was forced to fake a scene in his office where he "agonized" about which guy to choose. (We haven't seen bad acting like that on HBO since ... oh, wait, we see it every week with Kevin Connelly and Adrian Grenier. My bad.) Their receivers were so bad, some random Arena League guy showed up in Episode 2 and nearly made the team. Their rookie kicker looked Kathy Ireland-level shaky in the preseason, although he's definitely the best left-footed African-American kicker in NFL history. Their best defensive player will miss the first two games following a pair of drunk-driving convictions. They put so much mileage on their franchise running back last season that he held out under the logic, "If you're making me become the next Earl Campbell, could you at least pay me up front with a giant signing bonus?" And if that's not enough, poor Herm became a summer TV laughingstock on par with Corey Haim, the Idaho senator, Parisa The Uptight Real World Roommate and Miss South Carolina.

John Rieger/US PRESSWIRE

Herm Edwards seems like a great guy, but you don't want him managing the clock for your team.
(Does Herm seem like a fantastic guy? Absolutely. Would I want him coaching my favorite NFL team? Only if I was gunning for the No. 1 overall pick. The good news was that "Hard Knocks" finished on time every week -- it's the first time Herm ever finished a season without screwing up the clock.)

ok, i hear ya...maybe what you said wasnt a exactly a threat...wrong choice of a word i used...i guess the "dont ever try and come at me" is what got my attention, i dont recall coming at you like i believed you were a "dumb raider fan" either...i just get tired of hearing the nonsense about my team just because people believe what they see and hear on TV as facts when there isnt any basis for it really.

see what i mean though...31st??? this guy is a fuckin' joke...there is no fuckin way we are the 2nd worst team in the entire league...lol i guess he forgot we made the playoffs in a very powerful AFC last season...:ermm:

i seen on some other site..i think it was foxsports that had Huard ranked as the #32 QB in the entire NFL aswell...i about popped a blood vessel when i read that nonsense...i guess leading a team to a winning record and having the 2nd best QB rating in the NFL makes your skills deminish a year later...lol

the guy who wrote this is a HUGE Patriots Fan. He still hates Herm edwards becuase Herm pimp slapped his team when he coached the Jets.

This is a fact.

ALL GOOD. I AGREE THAT HUARD IS A VERY ABOVE AVERAGE QB. STILL, WITH ALL THINGS CONSIDERED. I THINK IT'S CLEAR TO EVERYBODY THAT THE CHIEFS ARE PRIMED TO HAVE A VERY SUBPAR SEASON.
