Do you love this girl? Be it as a friend or as a long term thing? Is she afraid for her life? Does he have a history of abusive behavoir towards her? Ask yourself these questions first before you do anything. If the answer to all of these is yes then my advice to you is try the wackass restraining order thing. It'll make him feel powerless over her. And when he gets out the psycho ward he'll do one of two things 1. If he be cured it'll keep him away 2. If he's on one of those fatal attraction trips the restraining order will only encourage him to come and try something. If this happens do what you gotta do to protect your "family". Find the root of the problem and cut it how you see fit. You'll know how to do this when the time comes. Trust your instincts homey.
