I finally got into a lobby with a hacker. There was only 1 though. He was invincible. I put a clip in him and knifed him and he got me with a headshot while he was turned around haha. Then in another game he had an RPK and held down the trigger and everyone on the other team got headshotted at once.

im hella better without the acog scope..i dunno why i used that shit on every gun....i tried the scar without it and shit on an entire team of quickscopesrs
the acog scope is a terrible attachment apart from when you use it on the acr

avoid it on all other guns, use red dot sight or holographic sight instead

Infinity Ward has promised that the PlayStation 3 version of Modern Warfare 2 -- which has been overrun by hackers -- will be fixed as soon as possible.

"I just left a security meeting with the coders here at Infinity Ward where we discussed a lot of solutions," said community manager Robert Bowling. "I feel good about the meeting, but of course I can't go into detail on the possible solutions we discussed as we don't want to give out any information that could potentially hinder the security any further.

"... The key factor I want you to know is, that while any update takes time, we are looking to make the process as quick as possible and nothing is being left unattended."

The last time Infinity Ward addressed this issue, the studio stated that the ball was in Sony's court, as the PS3's infrastructure needed fixing. Given that this happened with the first Modern Warfare as well, the PlayStation Network looks like a cheaters paradise. Say what you will about Xbox Live's restrictions, but at least the bad eggs are thrown out pretty swiftly.

It appears that whatever Sony did to mitigate security issues in its most recent PlayStation 3 patch has enabled Infinity Ward to address its "unplayable" version of Modern Warfare 2. Creative strategist Robert Bowling announced on Twitter that a patch "will release on PlayStation 3 worldwide on March 8," with an Xbox 360 and PC release following at some point. The patch, Bowling said, is specifically intended "to address hacking."

Bowling detailed the process on the Infinty Ward forums, having updated his original post about the PS3 situation as new information was available from IW while staying intentionally light on details, "as we don't want to give out any information that could potentially hinder the security any further." He additionally noted that the patch "will also address a small geo exploit on the map Fuel, which players exploited in order to get inside a rock on the outskirts of the map." Apparently some players were ... rocking that exploit real hard.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 developer Infinity Ward just issued an update to the PlayStation 3 version of the first-person shooter, an attempt to curb rampant hacking in the game's online multiplayer mode. It appears to be working (so far).

"The Modern Warfare 2 patch to address hacking is now live on PlayStation 3," tweets Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling, an update to ongoing issues with Modern Warfare 2's popular and exploit-filled multiplayer mode. "Other platforms pending. Have any problems, please let me know."

Early word from the Infinity Ward forums are looking positive. Players report that some hacks are still prominent, like clan tag hacks, but major exploits that made games all but unplayable and maliciously affected player progression may have been stamped out for now.

Hacking and griefing in Modern Warfare 2 isn't a recent development, but after the PlayStation 3's internal security was busted wide open by a group of hardware hackers, problems with the game escalated. Infinity Ward says it's working with Sony and changing the way it handles security in its future games
