This shit happened a couple blocks from my house in West San Jose yesterday afternoon. What are your thoughts on this situation? I think the cop deserves life in prison for this one, especially since he's a 9 year vet.

A San Jose police officer killed a man who was causing a disturbance outside a local coffee shop Sunday, San Jose police Sgt. Steve Dixon said.
The incident happened just after 1 p.m. outside the Starbucks at 1335 South Winchester Blvd.
When the officer, a nine-year veteran of the San Jose Police, went inside to get a cup of coffee, the store clerk reported that a man outside was smoking on the store's premises after being repeatedly told not to, Dixon said.
According to Dixon, the officer attempted to speak with the suspect, who raised a metal chair to throw at the officer. The officer then fired a Taser at the suspect, which was only effective momentarily Dixon said.
Witnesses reported to police that the suspect then charged and punched the officer repeatedly in the head and upper body, Dixon said. The officer fired another Taser shot but again the weapon was ineffective in stopping the suspect, police said.
The officer then backed away, took out his weapon and fired several shots, killing the man, Dixon said.
The suspect was transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Dixon said he did not know how many of the officer's shots actually hit the man.
The San Jose Police Department Homicide Unit and the Independent Police Auditor will investigate the incident, Dixon said.
Relatives and friends of the dead man identified him as 40-year-old Zaim Bojcic. They described him as a troubled survivor of a concentration camp in his native Bosnia.
According to a police spokesman, the unidentified officer received treatment at an area hospital for facial cuts and a possible concussion.
Several members of the Bosnian community in West San Jose gathered outside the coffee shop last night to condemn the shooting.
