Just want to say...

Young Know - Takin' it to the Next is one of the most overlooked bay albums ever, and one of the best. I would probably rank it top 10 or 15.

Young Know - Time to Stack or Young Ed - Time To Stack

I think you are talking about Young Ed. Young Ed - Time To Stack should be on that list for sure. Like you said definitly overlooked and in my opinion some of Cellskis best production.

Caught Up, Where The Love At? (Chess production), My Way, etc...album start to finish is pure dope.

NOH - Nig@@z On High too better be on there too.

Love him or hate him Please Don't Hurt Em Hammer should be one of the top 4 album cause Hammer put the bay on in a national level not the best rapper but the best stage show, had his own ABC cartoon, had his own doll and was pushing KFC,and other products when people said it was selling out now every one is doing. Hammer also put a lot of people on.

Ring 'em was/is my favorite hammer track

-Born to Mack & GIWYFI
-Most of Khayree's catalog
-some albums that were mostly produced by Johnny Z, TC, and K-Lou
-early GLP, RBL, 415, and IMP
-40 & the Click's first few albums
-Rompalation#1
-Early Heiro and Del
-A few projects from members of Living Legends
-A couple albums w/ mostly Rob Lo production
-The first WCBB and some of the compilations that came out on Swerve around that time
-Stackin' Chips
-Operation Stackola

vague, i know....but there are only a few albums post-'98 that I think should be on that list...maybe Keak's Hi-Tek or Copium, Thizz Washington and Genie of the Lamp

Cant believe nobody has mentioned 17 REASONS. Definitely changed the game. Sales wise, it did well, but what it did as far as impact....hardly any of them albums mentioned on here have had the success that 17 REASONS for bay culture and latins in general.

^^^^

Um sorry to burst ur bubble folks but not many people out side of northern cali even herd of 17 reasons...not sayin it wasnt big to have a album where browns and blacks came together to make music but I think you might be over shootin with that...its a top 100 hundreds list so maybe it could make the cutt but most people that listen bay music who are from outside the bay probly never herd of it or would even like it.

I respect your opinion @ghost. But if you go back and look at all the albums people have been mentioning so far....there are alot of albums that are being mentioned already that im pretty sure aint been heard outside the bay.....even less in all of northern cali. 17 Reasons still sells to this day. And yes, it did get love outta cali.

" I smoke chuy like a muthafuckin' nut....." is one of those classic lines as was "where you from...oakland...smokin' " both of which most everybody in here can tell you what records those two lines belong too. Thats top 100. Its one thing to make a good album....its another to make something that has impacted our lifeslyle and our culture.
