fa real though i think i'd kill myself if I lived in the heart of the city for more than a couple months. everytime I go and party there for a night or two I end up kicking my own ass lol. guess i lack that kind of discipline.

edit: i wouldn't even consider outer richmond or outer sunset san francisco if it wasn't for muni buses and golden gate park lol.
for sure. the munis do get to 'sf' hella fast tho, the geary bus be tearin down that street..thats the only part of SF id live in if I HAD KIDS...ive lived on van ness st before, shit was insane, like every day something happened crazy just walking down the street or up the street

too close to the epicenter of all that shit jus does not seem good to raise children in at all..eventually there gonna some some shit thats easily avoidable with parental guidance on television in a more far out area...

and outer richmond was actually cool, hella russians out there or used to be. its cool also cuz its right next to the beach if you even wanna call that shit a beach, lmao

but just like you said you wouldnt consider it sf...thats probably the greatest part about it...15-20 minute dip into downtown sf at most yknow less to get to haight or somewhere more west

being in a car is so dumb in sf though alot of times i find a place to park and muni it...that shit takes forever goin all around all types of corners and one ways etc etc

just need a car to get out of that mother fucker & on the golden gate fast

as much as i love sf theres too much shit for me to get into, to this day...id prolly be in tenderloin right now..ha

Hayward, San Leandro, Antioch, Pittsburg...All pretty similar, drive to the city isnt too bad, especially from Hayward and SLandro.

Concord, Walnut Creek, Dublin, Alamo, San Ramon, Castro Valley...Nice places, much whiter areas, little closer to the city, but on the more expensive side.

Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda, etc, much closer/easy commute to the city, expensive depending on the area...

I'd put Vallejo in the same boat as Hayward, SLandro, and Antioch, its a little easier commute, and people that live in Vallejo seem to like it better I guess...

find an apt in the montclair neighborhood of oakland. Its real safe and quiet and shit. Near freeways, near everything. Just a lil on the pricey side.

The City is way too expensive for what you get, but if you look around enough, sometimes you'll find good deals. If you want to be close to the city, i'd say go to berkeley or emeryville...nice location and enough to do there w/o leaving the immediate area all the time.

i've lived in contra costa for a while now and it's pretty cool and rent is affordable, but it's pretty boring as well. walnut creek is nice tho...lots of females at the bars downtown on the weekends..good shopping and restaurants....and rent is not that expensive if you're looking for an apt
