Oh I didn't know he said in the world. On that I would have to disagree as well.
Yo Venom! Don't listen to Young Slutt. I didn't say that GBC had the best flows in the world. Just read the thread.

I said GBC's hood has breeded the best rap talent then any other project, block, set, district, hood etc. in the US. Only other hood that could claim to have breeded eqaul or better talent is QB. Young Slutt is just instigating some bullshit.

@6sicx6....... Sicx was tight as fuck but he aint better then all of them artist u listed put together. Get real homie.

I say all the rappers mentioned in this thread are dope no matter what hood they came from. Is GBC my favorite??? Hell Yeah I've always been and always will be a West Coast Fan. And nobody has taken me into their fold like Sacramento. Not even my Nigga Bizzy Bone and I am from Ohio!!!!!!! Sacramento are the most down to earth niggaz I have ever done business with hands down.

how wasnt he u name 1 thats was better n that can rip on EM no! could
U sad Sicx was better then all of those artist u named put together. Which is bullshit. U speaking a little too highly of Sicx making that statement. He was super tight on the mic. Can't deny that. I'm a huge fan.

U come in the thread throwing his name around when him or his hood had nothing to do with the thread. I was the only person to mention him cuz I said that if we talk about the whole south Sac then that goes well & beyond just GBC. No one said Sicx was/wasn't fucking with any of them cats on the mic.

And please use ur spell check cuz I can barely understand what ur typing.

I just curious how people can compare GBC with Queensbridge or whereever. I don't listen to an ounce of east coast rap but names like NAS and some of the others mentioned have penetrated the mainstream. GBC only has clout underground, none of the artists mentioned as the greats like lynch, bo, x, nutty, etc. have mtv videos and shit like nas. I aint saying anyones better but it's like comparing apples and oranges.

imo real underground talent > mainstream radio shit like nas.

Gueensbridge artist have had a tremendous amount of success in the mainstream just like GBC artist have had success in the underground. If the GBC artist got the chance that QB artist have had in the mainstream GBC rappers would of blew through the roof just like QB.

And for the record we're talking about rap talent, not rap success. Vanilla Ice has had more success then Crooked I, P-Folks & Ganksta NIP(combined) but he aint nowhere near there level on the mic past or present.

is yall talkin bout gangs or gangs wit rappers. Aint nobody said nothin bout the Hieghts
As far as gangs DPH, Nortè & Oak Park are WAY deeper then the Gardens but we're talking about rap.

And either though the Heights got a few hitters on the mic just like The "P" & the View GBC out wieghs those hoods talent wise on the mic by several tons.

ay ill definetly say GARDEN BLOCK rappers are influential i mean look at the message board this is "THE SICCNESS" it was made by some die hard brotha lynch fans.

ill say this out of all those rappers u mentioned i only recognize LYNCH, X RAIDED, C-BO, LUNI COLEONE, and T NUTTY to an extent. everone else i dunno about them i wouldnt count them as hard hitters as far as classic albums. sure they mgiht be able to rap good but i know a lot of people that rap good with no album out and push a line so you not saying too much.

as far as them being the most talented hood maybe they in the top 5 but i wouldnt go as far as to say they are the most talented hood period - they would have to do battle first. maybe if your a fan of straight gangster ass music then yeah ill give it to them. in my opinion just brotha lynch alone shits on 99.9% of rappers period.

I only brought up a few rappers from GBC w/o albums cuz either though they maynot have albums out they are still highly known for mic spittin & features w/o albums out. No Love, Devious, Big Cyco & others.

And ur right.... the Siccness is here cuz of die hard Lynch fans. A lot of Dago rappers get major promotion & love from the Siccness & I'm sure they would/should show Lynch a lot of gratitude. Not just Dago artist either but a lot of Bay artist & other artist as well. But Dago gets major action on this board. I've been introduced to a lot of good Dago muisc cuz of the Siccness.

Nas aint all Mainstream, but just kuz people are mainstream dont mean they aren't real talent. Dudes come from somewhere and alot of lyricists, Like NAS, came from the underground. There are alot of talented guys outta the Eastcoast that are near mainstream, but not there. Some are legendary in the underground, battle rap scene or freestyle/mixtape scene.
Nas would Lyrically tear up hella katz. He's let shit slide wid some of his beefs, but if you want to hear a great diss, listen to "Ether" Or "Sly Fox".

If you dont listen to an ounce of eastcoast rap, then you dont know how much is out there (this is not a diss to you btw). East Coast has alot of talent that people catch glimpses of, but never come out with albums.

the fact that theres a legit arguement to this proves how dope garden blocc shit is.. but c'mon.. marley marl nigga. mc shan. the first "crew" song. first battle on wax (they lost! QUEENS KEEPS ON FAKIN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!) not to mention the later qb thug shit. mobb deep changed the game. like em or not.. and nas may be the best ever to do it.. i still think illmatic is the dopest album ever produced. especially as a first lp to enter the game.

I grew up on West Coast gangsta shit. So I am kinda bias. I loved C Bo's Music.. shit was hard. I can dig some of the other katz, but I was not really into that baby gutz and cannibalism shits honestly.
I am not gonna take anything away from QB. I am a Nas fan and listen to alot of East Coast music. There is hella talent there and I always felt Nas' flow is pretty much untouchable. Mobb Deep does have classics. I dont know how they changed the game... but they did awesome songs... its just too bad that at one point they jumped wid G unit.

I was commenting On GBC as its small and produce alot of talent for those 3 streets.

MANY places have produced some great ass talent. I dont know how big the Crest is honestly... but GBC again is a few streets and hella people came outta there.
There are recognized names, such as C bo, Brotha Lynch... but alot of people that dont have as much exposure (as mentioned).

Lincoln Park in SD has kicked up alot of talent as well.

As for the vallejo, yeah... nuttin but legends mentioned and people universally recognize those names.

sac definitely has not produced number, especially between vallejo artist. ive been waiting for someone to say this. in my opinion sac aint got shit on vallejo but they are different styles. the crest and hillside are small ass hoods and probably equal the size of the gardens put together. i can assure you that if you had some kid pick out some cds from your binder in your car they would choose dubee over t nutty. same goes with celly cel over sicx.
