FYI I don't think that LA is all Snoop & Dre. Now an out of state nigga might say that.
I fucks with Roccett the most out of LA & can say that Crooked I has grown on me & made me a fan. I love his lyrics & delivery. I've NEVER been a Snoop or Dre fan. Don't get it twisted. I recognize their talent but ut I'm not into them.
One of the tightest lyricist? Nigga please. He's terrible & his voice is hella annoying..

You just reminded me of an important fact (and actually the deciding factor in this whole debate)
There are two types of WESTCOAST listeners.
People that like Crooked I and San Quinn, and people that don't. (those two are actually kind of similar when you think about it)
I know Crooked I personally, and he's a smart nigga with a great attitude and passion for music. But he doesn't excite me. For one simple reason, being an artist myself.
He doesn't write any damn concepts!!
All his songs or mixtape tracks are just punchlines and bullshit and complainin about why he aint on. Name a Crooked I song that moved you. Of course I'm not an avid listener of his music, and therefore am not familiar with his entire catalog, but it would take to change my opinion.
That's why you and I don't see eye to eye "The Fetal Penis". We obviously look for different things from a song and from an artist. Kokane talks about life in a way similar to 2pac if you really listen. His voice fits the pain he talks about. It's hella gritty. But... Lemme guess... you don't like Pac either? I don't think you would admit that if it were true... But I bet you heard that new Pigeon John album. you weenie breath
