I like the NIN version much more. I think it shits on Cash's. imo People are into the Cash version because of the name of the performer, and the fact that it was likely one of his last songs to be recorded, not on the quality of the song.

Trent's live version when he's playing on some sort of weird harpsichord or some shit is off the hook as well.

It's the guitarist (or ex guitarist...don't remember) from Hopesfall which was a Christian band when they started (I heard they don't consider themselves one anymore.)

...Of Sinking Ships is all instrumental anyways. So it's not like you are going to be listening to someone talk about god or anything. You should really check it out Jae. It's good music.

Hopesfall is a really good band regardless if they are a Christian band or not. I got two of their albums and none of them really talk about god that I could tell from the lyrics. I'd say they are more like Christians that are in a band than a Christian band.

I personally don't care about what religion band memebers are. But with that being said I also really couldn't listen to a Chrisitan band that all they do is praise God, Jesus, etc on every single song...no matter how good the music is. I also think their is a big difference from being Christian in a band and being a Christian band.

Their are plenty of good Christian bands out their though that don't talk about God, Jesus or their religion on every single song.

You said the lead singer of "The Satellite Years" and "A-Types" isn't the original lead singer right? I liked "A-Types" but IMO it's no where near as good as "The Satellite Years."

On the subject of christian bands, alot of my favorite metalcore/hardcore bands I used to listen to / still do are/were were christian, my favorites being Zao, Strongarm, and a few others.

So...Of Sinking Ships sounds "beautiful" to yall???Wow...i clicked on the first song they had posted...and it was the loudest metal i thyink ive ever heard...so loud it distorted my speakers....melodic???Ummmm...no...

Cna someone maybe recommend a particular SONG by them???Cus the on i heard..sounded like some hardcore speed metal....
