im not giving a pass to charger fans because of the high CA unemployment rate....no blackouts last year would make you think it wasnt THAT big of a problem, simply put SD fans are extremely fair weather, theres a lot more shit to do in the city of SD then go to a charger game on sunday i guess.....you cant compare the situations of oakland and detriot maybe even JAX to SD...they put up a good product year in, year out....

They havent had a blackout in 4yrs..However, the last two years the chargers have gotten extensions from the NFL for just about every home game. Except for the Monday/Sunday night games or the real good match ups. Usually after the extension, one of the big casinos or Tribes steps up and buys out the extra tix needed to televise the games. This week the chargers didnt even ask for an extension. So, is it the economy? partly yes. Are there fair weather fans here? yes. No one denies it and youre not hurting peoples feelings by mentioning it either. Keep in mind that they still sold over 60,000 tix for the game, thats enough to sell out most stadiums so its not like no one is going. The nfl blackout rule is stupid as hell....
