Notice the sign that says "Mosque Supports Hamas". Turns out the dude they were verbally attacking wasn't even a Muslim. This video demonstrates sheer ignorance on the part of the protesters, and goes to show that many Americans do equate Islam with terrorism.

Martyrs would be too good of a word for what these cowards did innocent civilians of all walks of life were tragically stricken down in cold blood to get our attention. for that we should do what we did to the last country that wanted our attention. bomb whatever country or radical group hides them mercilessly until said deviants are handed over or the only thing their land will be good for is to microwave food with the radiation emitting from the ground

While I think it is the right of the Muslim faith to put a Mosque wherever they see fit, because this IS a free country with constitutional rights.

Who does not see this as a spit in the face of the fallen civilians, police, firefighters, pilots, & cabin crew that died on 9/11/01?

I say it is.

Why does it have to be @ Ground Zero?

Who are they honoring? The asshole 'Martyrs' flying the planes?

This is a blatant attempt at rattling the cage, of those who lost loved ones, or felt the impact from that day the towers came down.

Well if it was at "Ground Zero" then I would agree... but, it's two NY city blocks away...

Edit: and not only Christians died in the 9/11 attacks, there were Muslims that perished as well...

Stop illegals, stop muslims, stop this...How bout they stop the xenophobic racist shit. This is why we've had division in this country from the start...One group of people claims one thing but doesn't feel others are fit for the same treatment.

Oh that's right SHEA, because there were no muslims that died in the towers, there were no mulsims that rushed into the towers to save lives who were killed. The fuck out of here with that. 9/11 was an attack on New York City by a minority extremists. Only a fool would think that tiny minority represents all of Islam.

Let me ask you, should we all protest every time a Catholic Church is built next to a playground or a school? Do the Catholic child rapists represent all of Catholicism?

When some Catholic nuns tried to build a church near a nazi death camp, Jews were very pissed because Catholics didn't do more to help them during WW2. The pope caught wind and apologized and said although the nuns heart was in the right place, it just wasn't a good idea. It was still too fresh...and this was 30 plus years after the holocaust. A mosque at ground zero, just 9 years after one of the most cowardly acts in the history of mankind ( done in the name of Allah ) is a fucking disgrace at best.

Plus the ignorance on this board is pretty high. People keep calling it a mosque, it's a religious center amongst other things.

The center, the Cordoba House, is to include a swimming pool, a gym, an arts center and a memorial to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. While its supporters have stressed its inter-faith character, it has been almost universally dubbed the “Ground Zero mosque.”

Within roughly the same walking distance from this “sacred ground,” one passes strip joints, porn shops, betting parlors and dance clubs, none of which appear to have wounded the sensibilities of these patriotic defenders of the sanctity of Ground Zero. The center itself is to take the place of a dilapidated warehouse, previously the site of a Burlington Coat Factory outlet.

[...]

Indeed, the principal figure involved in the Cordoba House project, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, plays a direct role in these US efforts. The State Department announced last week that it is sending Rauf on a goodwill tour of the Middle East, the third such mission by the Muslim cleric, with whom the State Department acknowledged having “a long-term relationship.” The Imam has also provided training for the FBI and police agencies in dealing with Muslim populations.

This guy has been around the globe teaching people who wonderful it is to live in a country where that is free and free to practice any religion they choose. How ironic

I don't really think it's too much of a stretch to say that Muslims support terrorism. We've all seen it firsthand.

Why act like we don't know what we know just out of fear of being called a racist or a bigot?

Do a search for "Islamic Terrorism". Oh, here's a million long page wiki article about it, with sources credited. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_terrorism

These people are blowing themselves up and killing innocent civilians every day. This isn't racist. It's fact. This shit didn't start with 9/11. You guys want to act all gangster and act like white Americans are just a bunch of hateful monsters but I bet you wouldn't have the balls to even visit Israel, let alone step foot on a bus there.

Why is that?

These people are blowing themselves up and killing innocent civilians every day.
Oh yeah, I'm sure they are doing it just for the fuck of it! No reason behind it whatsoever, no invasion of 3rd world countries by super powers, nah nothing like that!

This isn't racist.
Yes it is. "THESE PEOPLE"

Fa sho fa sho.

I don't give a shit about being called a racist, Radical Islam is probably the biggest problem on this earth right now. Every day suicide bombings in the middle east occur in the name of Allah
