Anything that came out under Young Black Brotha 92,93,94,95,96
Same go's for Sick Wid it..Spice1,Luniz,Short fall in here as well.
So.Cal is known more forthat funk but albums like Doggystyle,Dogg Food,The Chronic,All Eyes On Me also carried that sound.
I think Twista and the Legendary Traxtser does alot of that Mobb stuff on just about every album. Tracks like 3rd eye. I ain't that Nigga. In the middle of the night (Traxter's not Twista's version) the whole Adrenaline Rush album really.
Also Old Bone had some of that Mobb shit..not quite like the Bays sound but I wouldn't know what other category I'd put tracks like Mo'Murda,Down fo my thang. Down 71 ect. into..
Disagree with YBB being Mobb...And Short was DEFINITELY not Mobb...not even close. And Twista? Uhhhh...no.

not really. Its more of a g-funk beat and the lyrics arent mobb at all.

We have already gone over what kind of songs embody the "mobb sound".

i don't think you know what g-funk is jessie, dr. Dre's chronic album that's g-funk, any old e-40 album is mobb music, the lyrics don't make mobb music, it's the beat, anythang old produced by sam bostic, studio ton or bosko is mobb music, ya dig.

So if drake does a song about some broad he met in the strip club and its produced by studio ton, its mobb music?

this is a good convo i like this cause i was always confused of what sound is "mobb music".from what i got by reading this topic and hearin what people call Mobb music it must be at a 75/85 tempo with a heavy bassline like the C-Bo song "gettin to the money"

edit:i think i got it

and the last thing for it to be mobb music besides the game spittin is have that "Tock" type snare and not the clap hit.

first of all fucc drake, don't pop that niggaz name in the b.a.r.t forum, that gay nigga and the bay don't mix, you can throw any of your favorite rapper on a mobb beat, then that tracc is mobb'd.

So if gay ass crazie locc's rapped over nuthin' but a g thang instrumental, that song wouldn't be a g-funk tracc????

G-funk, p-funk or mobb it's the beats not the rhymes.

Rasan ain't you a producer from cali yourself? Ok add anyone you want micky mouse, drake, justin bieber laying vocals over a studio ton beat from that 90's, that tracc would be a mobb tracc.

Don't get that shit twisted rasan, mobb music is not all about rappin' about john gotti, mafia, ..etc that's not what makes it mobb, it's the sound to it, it's in the beats.

If u go back in the thread I already stated what I think mobb music is my guy. Mobb shit to me is rappin about ridin on niggas, hustlin, pimpin, or teaching people about the game over a nice synth line with them 808 drums. That's my interpetation.
And yup I'm a producer, matter of fact, I love making mobb beats, I made this beat right here:

Rasan " nice synth line with them 808 drums " ......I agree bro

Rasan " Mobb shit to me is rappin about ridin on niggas, hustlin, pimpin, ".....Naw bro, Project Pat ain't Mobb music, UGK AIN'T MOBB MUSIC.

To me, for it to be Mobb music, gotta be produced in the Bay, or else what's the point of calling it Bays own Mobb sound?

RASAN YOU CAN BUY CHICKEN FROM OHIO BUT THAT DON'T MAKE IT " ROSCOE'S "...U FEEL ME BRO.

Rasan that tracc is dope, that's mobb right there, keep doing that shit, bring the mobb sound bacc.
