Akihiro Gono: "I give my best"

I have never felt so much pressure like this before. Although, I'm glad that I could sleep well last night and eat well this morning. I was so nervous because I had been thinking too much about my game plan. Today, I received some advice and video message from King Mo who stayed in the same hotel to watch the event. His advice relieved my mind. All I can do is to put my best. Now I feel like I can defeat Jon Fitch tonight. I give my best from my entrance performance to the end of my fight! Thank you for supporting me.

Silva Eyes Leites, UFC 97 Title Defense

Middleweight champion Anderson Silva will defend his title against countryman Thales Leites in the UFC 97 main event on April 18 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The UFC made the matchup official on Sunday.

Silva, the sport’s resident juggernaut, will carry a nine-fight winning streak into the bout, as he makes the fifth defense of his 185-pound crown. The 33-year-old Brazilian last appeared at UFC 90 in October, when he retained his belt against Patrick Cote. Afterward, Silva was criticized for what many viewed as an uninspired performance, which ended 39 seconds into round three after Cote collapsed with a non-contact knee injury and was unable to continue.

Should Silva (23-4) defeat Letes, he will pass Royce Gracie and Jon Fitch in the record books for most consecutive victories inside the Octagon (he currently has eight). Since he arrived in the UFC in June 2006, the muay Thai specialist and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt has all but obliterated the UFC’s middleweight division, scoring decisive victories against one-time champion Rich Franklin (twice), two-time Olympian Dan Henderson and former King of Pancrase Nate Marquardt, among others.

Leites (14-1), meanwhile, has not competed since he submitted the one-dimensional Drew McFedries with a first-round rear-naked choke at UFC 90. Based out of the Nova Uniao camp, the 27-year-old Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt has rattled off five straight wins since he dropped a unanimous decision to Martin Kampmann in his UFC debut in November 2006. He counts victories against Marquardt and Jose Landi-Jons among his 14 career conquests, nine of which have come by submission.

In the co-main event, former UFC light heavyweight champion and future hall of famer Chuck Liddell will collide with Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.

The once-unstoppable Liddell (21-6) has lost three of his past four fights and has not appeared inside the cage since his brutal knockout loss to reigning 205-pound king Rashad Evans at UFC 88 in September. Still, the 39-year-old striker wields a resume few can match, with multiple wins against UFC hall of famer Randy Couture, former light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz and current Strikeforce light heavyweight titleholder Renato "Babalu" Sobral. He has also defeated Wanderlei Silva, Vitor Belfort and Alistair Overeem.

Rua (17-3) has endured a stunning fall from grace since he won the Pride middleweight grand prix in 2005. The flashy 27-year-old Brazilian last fought in January, when he stopped Mark Coleman on third-round strikes in a sloppy performance that was almost universally panned. That followed his submission loss to Forrest Griffin at UFC 76 and two subsequent knee surgeries. Still, his past accomplishments cannot be discounted. He holds a pair of knockout wins against Overeem and another against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson -- the only man to defeat Liddell twice.

Jose Aldo vs. Chris Mickle a likely late addition to WEC 39 card

Rising featherweight contender Jose Aldo (13-1), who's won six consecutive fights (including three straight via knockout in the WEC), is expected to meet WEC newcomer Chris Mickle (26-11-1) next month at WEC 39.

Sources close to both fighters today told MMAjunkie.com that the fight is agreed upon, and though not signed, it could be finalized as early as Tuesday.

The bout would fill a spot on the WEC 39 fight card that was vacated with the recent cancellation of a WEC welterweight title fight between champ Carlos Condit and challenger Brock Larson.

Condit was forced off the card with a wrist injury, and he then signed to fight Martin Kampmann in April at UFC Fight Night 18's main event. The signing likely signalizes the elimination of the WEC's welterweight division, which will be absorbed by the UFC's already-stacked 170-pound class.

However, while the Aldo vs. Mickle fight could take a spot on the card, it won't take Condit vs. Larson's previous slot as the co-main event. As MMAjunkie.com recently reported, a bout between Richard Crunkilton and Bart Palaszewski has been promoted to co-headline status.

WEC 39, the organization's first-ever trip to Texas, takes place March 1 at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi. The night's main card airs on Versus.

Although Aldo, a Brazilian from the Nova Uniao team, has a solid base in grappling, he's put his crowd-pleasing stand-up game to use in recent fights. All three of his WEC victories have come via strikes, which included a second-round TKO of Alexandre Franca Nogueira in June, a third-round TKO of Jonathan Brookins in November, and a first-round knockout of Rolando Perez just eight days ago at WEC 38.

The 22-year-old will now likely meet a fellow youngster in 25-year-old Mickle, a 38-fight veteran who turned pro just four-and-a-half years ago. The Iowa-based submission specialist has fought in just about every major Midwest show and his racked up seven wins (six via submission and one TKO) in his past eight fights. In fact, 22 of his 26 career wins have come via submission, and only one victory has gone to a decision. And he's never been one to shy away from top competition; his list of opponents includes Jeremy Stephens, Clay Guida, Cole Miller, Rich Clementi and other notables.

Wagnney Fabiano set for April return at WEC 40

Former IFL champion Wagnney Fabiano (11-1 MMA, 1-0 WEC) is set to make his second appearance for the WEC on the organization's as-yet-unannounced April 5 event.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today learned of Fabiano's participation in the bout from sources close to the event.

An opponent for Fabiano has yet to be determined.

Fabiano earned the IFL's featherweight crown in 2007, and the 33-year-old Nova Uniao fighter defended the belt once before the league ceased operations. Currently riding a seven-fight win streak, Fabiano earned a third-round submission win over Akitoshi Tamura in his December 2008 WEC debut.

Seven of Fabiano's 11 career wins have come by submission.

Fabiano is currently WAMMA's No. 4-ranked featherweight. His lone career defeat came in a split-decision loss to fellow WEC fighter, and the current No. 7-ranked 145-pounder by WAMMA, Jeff Curran.

While the WEC has yet to officially announce the April date, tentatively scheduled for a yet-to-be-determined Chicago venue, WEC 40 is expected to feature a bantamweight title fight between current champion Miguel Torres and challenger Brian Bowles, as well as a featherweight bout between Curran and Joseph Benavidez.

GUIDA SAYS UFC 94 WIN A SIGN OF THINGS TO COME

While he proudly carries the nickname "The Carpenter" into the cage, Clay Guida may soon have to take up the moniker of "TUF Killer," as he defeated his second straight "Ultimate Fighter" winner. On Saturday night at UFC 94, he picked up a win over season 5 champion Nate Diaz.

Guida controlled the pace of the fight at almost every turn, frustrating Diaz with his clinch work and takedowns. While the Chicago resident was mindful of his opponent's ground game, he never felt in any danger from the Cesar Gracie student's submissions.

"I felt actually very comfortable in his guard," Guida told MMAWeekly.com after the fight. "Everyone knows his triangle, that's his move and that's his bread and butter, and we passed his legs. He probably outstruck me a little bit, but we got the big slam and we kept the fight where we wanted to."

The striking game was the one area that Guida was critical about when it came to judging his performance. In the third round, Diaz was able to use his reach advantage to pepper Guida with jabs before "The Carpenter" got back in control with his grappling game.

"I wasn't satisfied with my striking, he seemed like every time I'd throw a right or something, he would come in, a little more elusive, a couple more inches away from me," Guida stated. "I'm 5'7", I'm definitely not the tallest guy in my weight class, but we're working on those hands."

Winner of three fights in a row and his fifth win overall in the UFC, Guida is hoping the New Year will bring big things for his career as well.

"Each one is more important than the last," Guida said about the win. "It's just a little hint of what's to come in '09."

SAUNDERS OUT; MCCRORY TAPPED AS REPLACEMENT

Another change has been made for UFC's return to Columbus, Ohio, as Ben Saunders has been forced off the card with a foot injury. Tamdan McCrory has been tapped as a replacement to step in and face newcomer Ryan Madigan at UFC 96, as confirmed to MMAWeekly.com on Monday by sources close to the situation.

Currently sporting a 2-2 record in the Octagon, McCrory steps into this bout after a loss to Dustin Hazelett at UFC 91 in November. Ironically enough he will be facing Madigan, the fighter who replaced Hazelett when he faced an injury and was unable to fight on the card.

McCrory has been a handful for any opponent in all of his fights, standing at 6'4" tall and fighting at 170lbs, gives him a reach advantage in nearly all of his bouts. He submitted veteran fighter, Pete Spratt, in his UFC debut in June 2007 and also holds a win over "Ultimate Fighter" season 2 runner-up, Luke Cummo.

Ryan Madigan is a dangerous kickboxer who transitioned to MMA and still currently holds an undefeated record for his career.

It's unknown at this time if the bout between McCrory and Madigan will be on the main card, but it will likely be relegated to the untelevised preliminary show. The main event for UFC 96 will pit former UFC light heavyweight champion, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson against Keith Jardine in a 205lb contest.

Shane Roller vs. Ben Henderson set for WEC 40 in April

A bout between lightweight prospects Shane Roller and Ben Henderson has been added to the schedule for WEC 40 on April 5 in Chicago, Illinois.

FiveOuncesOfPain.com learned of a new matchup from a source close to one of the fighters on Monday afternoon.

The 27-year old Roller is one of three members involved with Ted Ehrhardt’s Team Takedown. Team Takedown is a full service MMA fight team featuring former standout amateur wrestlers that are being groomed to be future MMA champions.

A former three-time NCAA All-American at amateur wrestling powerhouse Oklahoma State, Roller is 5-1 since making his pro MMA debut in 2007. Since making his WEC debut last year, he is 2-0 with wins over Todd Moore and Mike Budnik.

In addition to being a three-time All-American, Roller is also a former Big 12 conference champion as well as a four-time state champion in high school.

Roller will look to improve to 6-1 overall against Henderson, who made his MMA debut late last month at WEC 38 in San Diego, Calif. Facing fellow newcomer Anthony Njokuani, Henderson improved his overall MMA record to 8-1 after securing a second round submission courtesy of a guillotine choke.

The Glendale native has won seven consecutive fights and holds a notable victory over former UFC veteran Diego Saraiva. Competing for the Evolution MMA promotion this past October, Henderson defeated Saraiva via unanimous decision.

In addition to Roller vs. Henderson, WEC 40 is expected to be headlined by Miguel Torres defending his WEC bantamweight title against Brian Bowles with Jeff Curran also expected to make his bantamweight debut on the card against Joseph Benavidez in a bout to determine a new number one contender.

Lyoto: “I’d like to fight with Rashad”

With six straight wins in the UFC, remaining undefeated after 14 fights in the career, Lyoto Machida still won’t have his titleshot. With the knockout win against Thiago Silva at UFC 94, the Brazilian hoped to face Rashad Evans for the belt, but Dana White revealed on the post-fight conference that he still won’t fight for the title. In an exclusive interview to Cristiane Ripari, Lyoto Machida revealed that he want’s to fight Rashad, but respects Dana’s decision.

“I’d like to fight with Rashad, but if it’s not possible I don’t pick another opponent. I’ll fight whoever comes. I might think (that I deserve a titleshot), but Dana is our boss and I’ll do whatever he says”, said Machida, looking the situation for the bright side. “It’s good for me because, when I get where I want, I’ll really deserve it”.

Against another undefeated Brazilian, Machida his first knockout in the UFC, just one second before the first round’s end. “I saw when he fainted, but I heard the bell and went to my corner, when I saw the judge by the screen saying that it was over. I didn’t knew what would happen, he could be back, but he’d be back really bad”, tells Lyoto, praising the ATT athlete. “Thiago is a great fighter, tough, was undefeated too, but my game was really well planned. We knew how he’d come and that was the result of our training”, said Machida.

WVR & Sustain Relationship Details! Kanehara Makes FWGP Appeal

The relationship between World Victory Road and SHOOTO promoter Sustain has been officially written about on the Japan SHOOTO Association blog. I’m not 100% sure but it seems that from 2010 they will carry out Professional SHOOTO events(?) together. WVR will also cooperate in Professional & Amateur SHOOTO events in 2009. A better translation is needed for this but we can probably expect some SHOOTO fighters in SENGOKU and SENGOKU training players in Amateur/Professional SHOOTO from now on.

At the PANCRASE event today a couple of interesting Featherweight fights took place. Jameel Massouh and Masanori Kanehara both won their fights against “J-Taro” and Kenji Arai respectively by TKO in the first round. Kanehara said after his fight that he really wants to participate in the Featherweight GP. I see no reason why someone like him shouldn’t be in it.

Katsuya Inoue continued his success since moving down to Lightweight as he successfully defended his Lightweight title in his first title defense against Daisuke Hanazawa. He declared war on Takanori Gomi and Cage Force champion Mizuto Hirota after the fight.

Fedor vs Lesnar - Getting Closer?

In a recent interview by DreamFighters.com with Affliction’s C.O.O Michael Cohen, he hinted some possibility to a Fedor vs Lesnar match.

Check out what Micahel Cohen had to say to us about Affliction and Donald Trump’s contact with the UFC, and holding a featured fight with Fedor and Lesnar….

DreamFighters.com: Have you had any further conversations with the UFC or Dana White that may lead to a Fedor versus Lesnar bout?

Michael Cohen: I have not spoken to either the Fertittas or Dana in quite a while. In the past 2 weeks (since the Day Of Reckoning event) Mr. Trump has been bombarded by e-mails asking for him to broker this deal with the UFC. While I am not certain this will happen, it certainly is intriguing and would be a great bout for all the fans.

Akihiro Gono: 'I got completely shut out'

UFC welterweight Akihiro Gono updated his blog on January 31 right after his loss to Jon Fitch at UFC 94.
I got completely shut out. I was busy defending myself and couldn't have any chance for offense. I felt like I was there to be laughed at. I gave it all I got, and that was all I could do. My fighting life continues and I have to move on. I have a lot to work on. My wrestling and ground techniques got worse while I was recovering from my injury. I will work on these at first. I wish I could have had a better performance. I'm sorry I couldn't answer my fans' expectation.

Shane Roller vs. Ben Henderson at WEC 40

World Extreme Cagefighting lightweights Shane Roller (5-1) and Ben Henderson (8-1) will meet at the organization's April 5 event.

The WEC 40 bout was first reported by fiveouncesofpain.com.

As MMAjunkie.com recently reported, WEC 40 is expected to take place in Chicago with a main event between WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres and top contender Brian Bowles.

Roller, a member of Team Takedown, owns a 5-1 career record (which includes a 2-0 mark in the WEC) since his transition from three-time NCAA All-American wrestler at Oklahoma State University to professional MMA fighter. Since a loss in his pro debut, Roller has posted five consecutive victories (all via first-round stoppage), which included a submission win over former X-Games star Mike Budnik (7-1) at WEC 37.

Roller now meets Henderson, who made his WEC debut last month as a late replace for Ed Radcliff at WEC 38. There, Henderson defeated Anthony Njokuani via second-round submission for his seventh consecutive victory.

Fioravanti: "Rumble" Johnson is going to lose at UFC Fight Night 17

Less than two months removed from a unanimous decision win over Brodie Farber at UFC Fight Night 16, American Top Team's Luigi Fioravanti (14-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) looks to take a step up in class when he pairs with Anthony Johnson (6-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) on the Spike TV broadcast opening bout of Saturday's "UFC Fight Night 17: Lauzon vs. Stephens" event in Tampa, Fla.

While Fioravanti knows Johnson will represent a new set of challenges, the Florida resident recently told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that "Rumble" won't bring anything to the cage that he doesn't see on a daily basis.

"I see it every day in the gym and the guys I train with," Fioravanti said. "There's nothing that he's going to throw at me that I haven't seen."

Universally lauded for his huge size for a welterweight, as well his athleticism, Johnson is coming off a devastating knockout of Kevin Burns in December 2008. The win was Johnson's third by knockout in five UFC fights.

Having recently dropped from 185 pounds, the much-smaller Fioravanti remains unfazed by his opponent's imposing stature.

"I used to fight at middleweight, so I've fought guys that are 6-2 or 6-3," Fioravanti said. "I've fought bigger guys where I'm the short guy that everybody's like, 'Oh, he's going to get crushed.' Now I'm fighting some guy that's 6-foot-something with a six-pack of abs. But that's fine. Let people think what they want."

Fioravanti believes his time in training with the star-studded roster of American Top Team has him well-prepared for the challenge.

"I train with Wilson (Gouveia), and Wilson hits hard," Fioravanti said. "(Alessio) Sakara, he's like 6-1. He's a good boxer. There's other guys too that are down there that don't have those names and aren't in the UFC, but they're tough guys -- wrestlers, kickboxers, jiu-jitsu guys -- that I roll with every day. I'm more than prepared for this fight."

While Johnson has earned fame for his devastating strikes, Fioravanti has also been classified predominantly as a striker throughout his five-year career. The 27-year-old said that tag doesn't completely describe the tactics he brings into the cage.

"I'll just take the fight wherever it goes," Fioravanti said. "People always say I'm a striker. I don't know if I'm a striker. I just like to keep it on my feet and try and knock the other guy out.

"It's more fun than trying to take his down and beat on him. But if you're on the feet and a guy is better than you, you're going to have to take him down to the ground and look for a submission or beat him up on the ground. It's more than just trying to keep it on the feet."

Fioravanti has won three of his past four bouts, and he credits that success -- as well as the rounding out of his skill set -- to his increased focus in training.

"I had a little bit of a rough stretch with my training and stuff," Fioravanti said. "I wasn't really training full time down at American Top Team when I had those back-to-back losses (to Forrest Petz and Jon Fitch in 2007). But now I moved down [to Coconut Creek, Fla.,] right after that bout with Petz. I moved down here, and I started training full time on the ground. Not just trying to get my striking down, but everything -- my wrestling, my jiu-jitsu -- and put it all together."

The focus has resulted in a leaner Fioravanti and a drop to the welterweight division. Just 5-8, Fioravanti is even pondering a move to 155 pounds in the future as his game and conditioning continue to improve.

"I'm progressively getting better with every fight," Fioravanti said. "Every day in the gym I learn something new. I'm getting better and better, and I do want to make a run to the top.

"I've also thought about dropping a weight class, maybe trying out the lightweight class. I don't know. I like to eat. I like to put away the food, so I don't know. But right now I'm really focused on this fight. Maybe I'll start looking more into that after this fight."

While his future holds a number of possibilities, Fioravanti's immediate focus is on his opponent for Saturday night. Fioravanti said he plays the fight in a constant loop in his mind.

"I visualize the fight every day," Fioravanti said. "I think to myself what I'm going to do in the fight. I can see myself taking him down and pounding him on the ground.

"There's a lot of hype behind this guy. It's good for him. He's knocked out these guys that he's fought recently. But I'm better than those guys. I'm more experienced and more well-rounded. I just see myself either taking him down and getting a submission or TKO'ing him on the ground.

And while Fioravanti remains respectful of his opponent's weapons, he believes the impending result of Saturday's bout with Johnson is apparent.

"[Johnson] is a good fighter. He's explosive. He's big for a welterweight. He's fast. He's athletic. I don't really have anything bad to say about him besides that he's going to lose to me."

For Anthony Johnson, size doesn't matter at UFC Fight Night 17

The comments are unavoidable each time Anthony Johnson (6-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) steps into the cage.

Typically cutting just over 30 pounds in the days before each fight in the UFC's 170-pound division, Johnson and his 6'2" frame typically loom large over his opponent. When Johnson faces 5'8" Luigi Fioravanti at Saturday's "UFC Fight Night 17: Lauzon vs. Stephens," the comments will undoubtedly be made again.

But as Johnson recently told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com), Fioravanti simply can't be overlooked -- no matter how far "Rumble" looks over him.

"It's going to take everything to beat [Fioravanti]," Johnson said. "He's tough. He's 5'8", or however tall he is, but he's tough. To me, he's probably the smallest, toughest guy in the weight class."

Less than two full months removed from a rematch of his controversial loss to Kevin Burns, Johnson is ready to put the events of those two bouts fully in the past.

"I was over the whole thing as soon as it happened," Johnson said. "Everybody made a big controversy over it, but I was like, 'Whatever. Things happen, and they happen for a reason.' I was just ready to move on to the next thing, but [the UFC] wanted me to fight him again. So I was like, 'OK.'"

Now faced with an entirely different opponent, Johnson is excited to showcase an array of skills on Saturday night.

"I think it will be all over the place," Johnson said. "[Fioravanti] likes to mix it up and so do I. People see that I can wrestle, so people are starting to remember that I can't just punch. I can wrestle, too.

"This is mixed martial arts, and we're in the top organization in the world. We're supposed to mix it up. So I think we're both going to go out there and do what we're supposed to do to win."

Johnson's three wins in the UFC have all come by devastating knockout. The 24-year-old said he hopes to continue that trend, but he realizes that those opening aren't always easy to find.

"You can't knock everybody out in the first minute," Johnson said. "I think that's what a lot of people expect when they see me fight. They expect me to just go out there and knock somebody's head off in the first minute. It's not like that.

"You've got to expect reality. Life isn't like that. Fighting isn't like that. So you have to warm up and get your mojo going a little bit before you can actually connect the right one. It's just going to take time before you can get that right punch, so this fight hopefully I'll find the right punch and it will land."

While Johnson knows he won't always be able to land the devastating blows he has quickly become known for, he does want fans to know that he'll always push the pace.

"To me at least [the fans] are looking forward to seeing something," Johnson said. "They know I'm going to go out there and fight. It might not be knockout all the time, but they know they're going to get at least one good hit out of me during the fight. But it's no pressure on me.

"If it's not the knockout they're looking for, it's at least someone who is fighting with all they have and going out there and doing the best that they can. If it's not a knockout, I think they just expect someone that will go 110 miles an hour the whole fight."

It's that type of aggressive demeanor that has quickly made Johnson a fan favorite. And while the California resident has yet to find his way on to a pay-per-view event, Johnson said he's just fine being featured on future UFC Fight Night presentations.

"I actually love Fight Night," Johnson said. "[The UFC] can keep me on Fight Night as long as they want. People get to see the Fight Night's for free, and Fight Night is actually what helped me get my name out there.

"A lot of people can't afford the pay-per-views, but they can afford a little cable. I can make sure my fights are seen and get some great exposure for my sponsors at BSN, Tapout.com, Fulltiltpoker.net, Free-bsn.com, Gutcheck.tv, stradawheels.com and Knoxxgear.com, so the cable is actually helping me better than the pay-per-views right now."

As usual, Johnson will hold a significant size advantage over Fioravanti on Saturday's Spike TV broadcast-opening bout. But as the welterweight makes small steps up the 170-pound division ladder, Johnson knows the skills of his opponent can offset any difference in stature.

"To me every fight gets tougher and tougher," Johnson said. "The bigger my name gets the tougher the competition gets. [Fioravanti] is not a slouch at all. I expect a good fight. He's tough. Hands down, he's tough."

Bobby Green, Carl Seumanutafa join Team USA West for M-1 challenge

"Affliction: Day of Reckoning" late replacement Bobby Green (7-2) and EliteXC veteran Carl Seumanutafa (4-1) will fight for the debuting Team USA West in the 2009 season of the "M-1 Challenge Presented by Affliction."

M-1 Global today released the lineups for the new team, managed by M-1's Steve Bash and California-based promoter Roy Engelbrecht.

The 2009 M-1 Challenge season opener is set for Feb. 21 at the Emerald Queen Casino in Seattle.

A veteran of the California-based Total Fighting Alliance and Mexican promotion Warriors Fighting Championship, Green made his debut on the national stage at January's "Affliction: Day of Reckoning." A last-second replacement for an injured Chris Horodecki, Green fought lightweight Dan Lauzon in the event's first pay-per-view broadcast fight.

The odd fight featured three stoppages for strikes to Lauzon's groin as Green pressured his opponent throughout the first round. Lauzon remained focused through the odd occurrences and earned a submission win via rear-naked choke with five seconds left in the opening frame.

Seumanutafa earned victories in his first four professional contests, including a win over Mike Cook at "EliteXC: Unfinished Business" in July 2008. Seumanutafa stumbled in his last bout with a TKO loss to Shane DelRosario in September 2008 for ShoXC's "Elite Challenger Series."

Green and Seumanutafa will join King of the Cage veteran Reggie Orr and IFL veteran Raphael Davis on the debuting Team USA West. One spot on the team still remains to be filled.

Billed as the "World Cup of Mixed Martial Arts," the M-1 Challenge is a full season of MMA events sponsored by partner Affliction that showcases many up-and-coming MMA fighters in the world. Broadcast to over 80 countries around the world, including HDNet in the United States, the M-1 Challenge pits teams of five fighters representing their respective countries against each other for international bragging rights and the title of M-1 Challenge Champions.
