no offense to the other dude but i agree coming from a city of gangbanging..you in it or you aint...but off topic the bay has always used words that were conceived as gang slang....i dont think that has anything to do with THIS but i remebered being tripped out about how peopel said blood..even tho it came from youngblood....like i moved from a neighborhoood of all bloods to sf and heard that, i thought i got away from that shit..even tho it has nothin to do with it i kinda wonder is it the same w this soowooping? thats really going on?

i think people fuck it up like blooding and cripping is a pro-black community thing or a movement...maybe back in 1979....but you cant just flip the meaning of gangs and expect that to pop...thats gonna cause so many problems for a community....i would almost urge a community that has no gangs to not create a faction of bloods and crips in their neighborhood...fake or real..nothing against gangs but lets leave the original gangs original....you dont create new italian mobs either...that shit is nothing but trouble and more trouble than theyre willing to take on.

I see what you're getting at but there's a difference. Youngblood/blood was slang that was used within black/urban communities before the bloods and crips were even formed. Wheras "soo whoop" is something directly affiliated with blood sets. Let's be real here...it's only popular because these idiot rappers have made it popular. Just like how it was "cool" to be a crip 10-15 years ago and we were seeing a whole lot of lame ass people doing the C-Walk....
