People have been savages for thousands (millions?) of years. Wars, murder, oppression, even cannibalism is nothing new to us. I'm pretty sure it's been like this since the beginning.

that quote is true about early man and animals.

Not saying everyone should die a horrible death, something quick and painless and sent of to somewhere better without evil.

I definitely agree with the quote, but the question of what is good and evil is based on culture and that society. It even goes deeper than that, to someones perception. Someone with a skewed perception of the world, will see things in a totally different light. I think society today, has messed with people's perceptions on things, but it's no different than any other time in history.
