the reality is that close to 55% of the population consider themselves to be CONSERVATIVES, while only about 25% consider themselves to be LIBERALS, and the rest are moderate and even the majority of those moderates are right-leaning

actually, if you do that study based on issues, the majority of people are liberal when it comes to issues.

I think Michael Moore is on to something here. Just look at the situation in South Africa. The Majority of the people are Black yet they are a minority. All the power lies with the white-Anglo Saxon people which make up one third of the population. Just like the United States, "Even though only a third of the country defines itself as "Republican," you control the White House, Congress, Supreme Court and most state governments."
