Okay out of all those I have only heard of Between the Buried and Me and Drop Dead, Gorgeous. I am already a fan of BTBAM and from what I heard of Drop Dead, Gorgeous I was feeling their music. What would you recommend by Drop Dead... ?

Also what kind of metal are the other bands and who would you compare their sound to if you got the time? (Minus Destroyer, Destroyer...I know them too.)

Oh yeah and my favorite just straight up metal band right now is Mastodon. All their albums are sick as fuck.

they are but they dont go around singing like how god is great or some shit like that, i would download 1 of there albums before buying it though seeing if it is your taste probably Summer Of Darkness album

Cool I'll check them out. Even though I'm not religious there is some Christian Metal (and other Christian rock) that is pretty good. Most of them don't preach in their music anymore like they used to.

I'm not a huge metal fan like everyone else in the thread, but my favorites are Danzig, Iron Maiden, The Fall of Troy, Every Time I Die, HORSE the Band, and Between the Buried & Me.

Really? I like subgenres even though 99% of the world has no idea what the fuck you are talking about or really cares when I use them. Makes it easier for me to check out bands that may sound similiar.

I'd think of The Fall of Troy as more along the lines of Experimental Post-Hardcore if we are labeling people lol.

Judging by their cd Doppelgänger I'd say they were Progressive Post-Hardcore.

i really dig jus heavy hard chrunchy riffs,shit to pump iron to,not too speed metalish or black metalish,but kinda like 90's heavy metal like sick old slayer/metalica heavy dark riffs,oh ya and double drum petals
