'82 geek, and san quinn has put nothin down. people outside the bay think he's wack. quinn is boring
ever since ive moved to Madison, I havent met anyone that knew quinn. If I was to showcase music from the bay to people outside the area one of the people I would include is quinn cause he actually tries to pen some real shit, without some shitty lyrics.

I always thot Mess was jealous of quinns success i.e. quinn was on my block the bay & in the yahoo pepsi thing
EXACTLY!!!

Bottom line, Quinn was the hottest rapper in the Bay in 2006(when the Bay was actually being recognized) not named E-40....while all Mess had was a low budget video that was shot on 3rd St. of a song that he tried to piggyback off of "Hell Yeah." He saw the success that Quinn had with it, then put out a song that tried to sound like it.

Who else since has sold as many records independently as Quinn did with "The Rock"?

That would prolly be the only Quinn CD I ever buy. The hyphy movement played a good roll on the shine for that album too. Bay fans was supporting Bay artist the most ever during this period.

^^No because this "beef" has nothing to do with music.
Basically all im sayin is that i could care less what the beef about...cause at the end of the day its all about the music because thats what theyre known for. The beef isnt going to sway me to one side or the other. Im not going to be a bigger Quinn fan because mess is considered a sell out feel me?

But shouldn't the music be what matters to people who have nothing to do with their beef?
I hear what you saying, but I still say no because the music is not the basis of the beef. Ppl are focusing on shit that isn't really a factor.

I feel what you saying, I just like separating rap beef and personal beef, and judging them both for what they are. Since this ain't really about rap beef, I think it's irrelevant to say who you like the best.

But the dude EROC even said in his post, "all personal shit aside..." (re: their beef). He's focusing on the music, not some beef that he or anyone on here has anything to do with.

How is the music not what fans should focus on?
lol how can you put "all personal shit asiide" when the beef is 100% personal? That doesn't even make sense. If that's how he wants to look at it than fine....but what music are you focusing on? The diss tracks? The albums before the beef? If you speaking on the diss tracks, than I understand the preferences, but all the music before the beef, and all the music after the beef that isn't about the beef is irrelevant to what's going on.

I assume by "all personal shit aside" he means the doesn't care about their personal business (regardless if they're conducting it where other people can see it). He just cares about the music.
