I'm not a big fan, but Countdown to Extinction is their best album IMO. Most hardcore fans will probably tell you it's Rust in Peace (which is #2 to me), but Countdown is more "advanced", better produced, better written, etc.

Other than those two, there aren't any full albums that I can recommend. Each has a couple good songs, but they don't make the albums necessarily noteworthy.

'Countdown' is one of my favs, but I really like "Peace sells....but whos buying", cause it was the 1st album I got N with metal I listen for the guitar which caught me wit this shit.
I like the old shit myself when they or Mustaine was really fuckin shit up. I saw that VH1 special on the band, they said they were on drugs all this time Ntil 'Countdown' N 'Youthanasia'. I think he shouldve stayd on it cause after Youth I stop fallin Nterest.lol

id go with countdown..., rust..., and cryptic writings, which isnt as metal as the older stuff, but i can still listen to the whole thing front to back.

Well I bought a Greatest Hits, and then I bought Cryptic Writings and Countdown. I'm hella feelin' their shit. I'm surprised more of you don't dig their music. Mustaine tears shit up!!
