Well if it happens it's gonna be one hell if a bday party for myself (May 1st). I've been watching Mayweather on my bday for like 5 years now but this would one would obviously be the biggest by far. I may consider going to Vegas not sure yet you know it's gonna be crackin
Man, I really want to try and go but it's gonna be hard to convince my wife to let me go without her lol But I will be finishing up my semester, and trying to sell my wife on taking care of 3 kids while I go to Vegas alone for a couple days and spending a grip in the process probably is a no go. Not to mention ticket prices are going to be insane and you can almost give up trying to get tickets unless they are at resell prices. But it would be dope just to be on the strip that weekend even without going to the actual fight IMO.

I honestly think now Mayweather is going to fight Cotto. I remember saying it even before the rumors came out but there is no reason for Cotto to stall so much. Even Floyd knows how important it is to fight on a Mexican Holiday. Too much is going on and Arum and Esinoza are doing too much talking.

I had a feeling that was going to be a sticking point in negotiations with them. Fat Dan had said that last time they agreed to let the winner have the rights to the replay because Lewis was so heavily favored and basically they were willing to gamble on that.

Having said that, I think their proposal is a reasonable one, just let both companies have the rights to it. Sure, HBO has more subscribers, but it's a little absurd for Showtime to say they want it for themselves regardless of what happened before.

I wonder what else these networks are talking about. Ratings is a huge issue so I wonder if All Access or 24/7 are in talks, that special HBO did talking about how Algieri and Manny's style would hit big on HBO. A Fight Game special edition. A marathon of Mayweather and Manny fights. HBO is just really good at what they do. I'm pretty sure that's why Floyd made it an issue of it just being a Showtime ppv. That was going to stop everything from continueing

Could you imagine being a cable provider HBO or Showtime...and the news gets out that your side or both sides is or are the reason the BIGGEST FIGHT in boxing was tanked? The fight derails not because of the fighters but the networks...how do you go to sleep at night? The result of this will be Mayweather ducked and is still a coward and Pacquiao is still a cheater. People will have to attack something and it will be the fighters even though they and the promoters both agreed to make it happen.

50 Cent on Mayweather-Pacquiao Fight: "Not Going to Happen"

A former member of the "Money Team" doesn't believe the monumental bout will ever occur. Many boxing fans are salivating at the idea of a super-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

There are A LOT of credible boxing insider's saying Mayweather vs Cotto II is in the works. Top Rank even said today they don't know why Cotto didn't sign to fight Canelo, being that Canelo agreed to Cotto's terms, and that they HOPE to have a working relationship again with Cotto within the next few days. I mean if Arum is saying that, kinda verifies Cotto is off on his own working on another big fight and who else could that be that's bigger than Canelo?

Arum Details Pacquiao Meeting, Status on Mayweather

By Steve Kim

WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao was in Los Angeles last week and he had met with his promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank on Thursday. And yes, one of the topics was a potential fight versus WBC/WBA champion Floyd Mayweather, which has been talked about ad-naseum the past several years.

"It was a general meeting to lay out the landscape," explained Arum on Monday afternoon to BoxingScene.com."How long are we going to let the Mayweather fight negotiations drift, what we're going to say about them or not going to say and third, what Plan B is."

So how are the negotiations coming along?

"We finished talking, nobody has come to us and said, 'OK.' I mean, we've finished, they've asked us to agree to this, agree to that. We agreed to everything," stated Arum, who sounded a bit frustrated.

"When you agree to everything, then you wait for confirmation that the other side is in. We assumed all along that they were in. Otherwise, why are they fucking with us?"

When asked if there was a deadline date to move on, Arum answered:

"Yes, but I'm not going to reveal it."

Cotto vs Mayweather would be the dumbest move Cotto can do. Floyd's money is guaranteed no matter what, but Cotto will not see much ppv money if any if Canelo fights Kirkland at the same time. DLH also said that they don't know if the fight will be on ppv or not but on May 2nd you will have to ask a bunch of Mexicans to go and watch what fight? Canelo's or Mayweather's? Is it GBP that has MGM for May 2nd or Floyd? We shall see
