Uh pacquiao beat de la hoya too homie. Plus its looking like Pacquiao's recent PPV did nearly 1.5 million buys, whereas Mayweathers recent PPV did 1 million. So I don't know maybe my math is off but is seems Pacquiao is the hot commodity right now.

Regardless, so you're telling me a smart business man would either fight Pac at 60/40 or retire from the game?

Because thats what it comes down to. There is no one left for floyd to fight that would generate him any money.

He can take 50/50 and make 20-30 million dollars. LMAO, ask yourself as a business man which is the smart choice? $20 million or $0.00????

The same goes for Pac-Man... who is out there for him to fight?

60/40 off top mayne and the fight will happen. Pac-Man is a "New Jack" in the welterweight division. This is Floyd's division so if they want the fight to happen and if they want to get Floyd in the ring take the 40 and step in the ring mayne.

And I forgot to mention Floyd doesn't even have a belt at 147. Pacquiao on the other hand has the WBO belt. So he could fight the winner of mosley & berto to unify, which assuming it's shane would generate him some good money and be historically significant (picking up 2 more belts and The Ring belt, being the undisputed, unified champ at 147 while floyd has nothin).

mayweather got no business askin 60/40 period. how can yall even defend that considering the numbers of his last fight and pacquiaos last fight. to say he's the hottest in the sport right now would just be retarded. he ain't the one out there makin history with the odds stacked against him, movin up in weight classes takin fools belts. on some real talk i think he's tarnishing his unbeaten record because he is not willing to take risks and fight all the best challengers, but still got the odassity to talk mainey as fuck.

All the critics will be saying the samething after Floyd whoops on Manny.... it's sad to tell you the truth.... after he puts hands on Manny the critics will say "he beat up on a smaller dude" and blah, blah, blah....

And 60/40 sounds right.... If they want to step in the ring with the king, then take the 40 or keep it moving!

You know why people would say that Tony?

Because he chose to fight a lightweight, in a welterweight fight in his last fight.

Although I think Pacquiao made a case that he can compete with a legit welterweight, the claims of Floyd fighting smaller fighters is always going to be brought up because of his history of taking Easy Street.

Oh and about your reasoning for a 60/40 split.

It looks like Floyd is going to lose a lot of his leverage in this one because all signs are pointing to Pacquiao-Cotto blowing Mayweather-Marquez out of the water.

Not just in sales, but obviously it was a much better fight.

Not to mention, Floyd really doesn't have any other big money fights available.

The biggest one I can see is if he waits for the Mosley-Berto winner...

Pacquiao is the one with more options, therefore more bargaining leverage. I say 60/40 to the winner and lets see these guys out for blood.

The critics are going to say the samething once he whoops on Manny.... I say 60/40 for Floyd since he's been fighting at Welter longer than Manny has and is putting his undefeated record on the line.

45/45 with the winner getting the extra 10% of the dough.

That sounds fair enough. Both guys have strong cases for wanting the bigger share.

Why not have them earn it in the ring.

I'm leaning towards a Pacquiao split decision victory in a fight that could go either way.

That's not really final though. Like I said it's very difficult to predict because mayweather has never fought a guy that fights like pacquiao and pacquiao has never fought a guy that fights like mayweather. We really have no way of measuring this potential fight.

Don't know how to embed so enjoy.... 40-0 mayne... Manny don't want none of Mayweather that's why he's not calling him out.
you really believe that? after every fight manny says ask my promoter who i'm fighting next...he ain't scared of soft hands mayweather. what you should be wondering is why the cocky one don't call out pacquiao when in his eyes he's still the best pound for pound. you would think mayweather would've been callin out pacquiao many moons ago. i think it's goin be a tough fight but i'm callin a late round tko.

60/40
Let's see how their pay per view number compare in regards to their common opponents.

PBF vs DLH 2.15M
PBF vs Hatton 950K
PBF vs JMM 1.05M

Manny vs DLH 1.25M
Manny vs Hatton 825K
Manny vs JMM 400K (2 fight average)

Well, it looks like Floyd is the bigger draw!

What do you work for mayweather or somethin??

Pacquiao is hot right now, so that doesn't prove anything. His last PPV did over 1.25 million buys, whereas Mayweather did 1 million.

Again though, what is the biggest possible fight in boxing? What is everyone calling for? Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Again that's two names, not one.

If mayweather wants that 60% so bad he should do 60% to the winner, 40% to the loser.

Pacquiao-Mayweather: Roach Says “50-50 Gets it Done”

By Mark Vester

Freddie Roach, trainer and sometimes business advisor to WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, admits that a 50-50 deal is the only way to finalize a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Both sides are asking for a bigger piece of the money. At the end of the day, Roach would advise Pacquiao to accept a 50-50 deal if it gets the fight done. Roach still has doubts that Mayweather actually wants the fight. Roach would like to see a deal with both fighters agree to an equal guarantee and the winners gets more money.

“I honestly don't think he wants to fight Pacquiao. I think both fighters know that if they do the fight at 50-50, it's going to happen. My guy is definitely on board. We definitely want that fight. Mayweather I'm not so sure,” said Roach, who appeared on In the Zone/1290 The Ticket .

“I'd like to get 60-40 our way of course. I know that we're the bigger draw. We'll try to get as much as we can but at the end of the day I think 50-50 will be the only thing acceptable. Maybe both guys get the same guarantee and the winner gets a big bonus. You can go $10 million guarantee a piece and the winner gets the rest. I love when the winner gets more.”

“Who else is he going to fight. To make the money he wants to make, he has to fight us. He can fight the winner of [Shane] Mosley-[Andre] Berto but I think he's ducking those guys too. He ducked [Antonio] Margarito when he was on top. He picks and chooses his opponents but I think the public wants to see this fight and I think there will be a big demand for it. “

As far as the date, Roach says the fight should take place around May or June. Pacquiao’s tentative return is sitting for March 13 but Roach feels that is too soon for a clash with Mayweather.

“I think March is too soon. May, June is a good time for a pay-per-view,” Roach said.

Roach didn’t take too kindly to Mayweather calling Pacquiao a “one-dimensional” fighter. He doesn’t think Mayweather is at his prime any longer. He watched several of Mayweather’s fights over the last few years and saw a definite downgrade in speed.

“Saying Manny is one-dimensional; he fought like three different styles in the [Miguel] Cotto fight. Manny is a lot harder to deal with than he realizes. Manny is a lot faster than he is. [Jose Luis] Castillo was in camp with us and said Manny hits a lot harder and is faster on his feet. He fought Mayweather twice and that was back in his prime also. I think Mayweather slowed down a little but. In the Oscar fight, that was a very close fight. We lost a split-decision. I thought we could have won that fight and I know the gameplan to beat this guy and I have the fighter to do it,” Roach said.

Nope, just proving who should get a bigger piece of the pie.... compare their common opponents and pay per view buys. You see the picture.... Mayweather is the biggest draw and should get at least 60 off top mayne.

Plus Mayweather (with his persona and trash talk) will sell the fight better than Manny will.....

Freddy Roach is still selling wolf tickets huh... I don't think he wants the fight to tell you the truth.
