I'll just paste what I wrote in the other thread.

Mayweather would get DESTROYED in MMA. He's definitely one of the greatest boxers of all time but this isn't boxing and those 4oz gloves don't transition the same as 16oz gloves. You don't learn how to sprawl and grapple in a short period of time. Your going against Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belts and division 1 college wrestlers. GTFO with Mayweather in MMA even tho i'd pay big money to see him face a guy like Uriah Faber at 145 who would leave destroy Mayweather's ego.

Theres just too much involved in both sports to quickly get into it and compete at a high level. With one year of training mayweather could beat some low level guys, or maybe very average competition. Same goes for any MMA fighter that would take on boxing. Perhaps they could beat some lowly competition but they wouldn't be a threat to any top ranked fighters.

thats what I'm thinking. It's too difficult to believe he would give up the sport he's been practicing since like the age of 2.

And since knowing Mark Cuban is involved in all this you got to question what really is going on, Cuban seems to always have these weird ass ideas that go no where. Maybe it's just publicity, idk

i don't know what the fuck yall talkin bout, a great boxer would easily knock out top mma competition, with the skills they have. the only fighter i can think of thats well rounded and is very skilled in mma is Anderson Silva. do u guys know how easily it would be for a boxer to knock out one of these mma dudes with their horrible chins, this shit is laughable that yall think mayweather with his skills and smarts could'nt have a chance in mma, GTFOH!!!! this shit is apples and oranges but be real

Theres really not that much money for Mayweather(he's already filthy rich) to be made in MMA unless it's against one of the top competitors and most recognizable fighters. Urijah Faber vs Mayweather at 145 would be pretty much the ideal match up for him to make the most money in MMA. The UFC would host it as i'm sure Dana White would not pass up on this opportunity and they do own the contract of Urijah. But anyways, Urijah would demolish Mayweather.

first off not all MMA guys have weak chins. There are guys out there that come from striking backgrounds such as Muai Thai and even boxing backgrounds and they can take punches. And it's quite laughable that you would think a boxer would easliy knock out a top MMA fighter. Whats a boxer gonna do if he throws a punch and get takendown or tries to bob and weave and gets put in the Muai Thai clinch? Do you really think Mayweather could easily Ko guys like Uriah Faber or Kid yamamoto?
