MAY 1st, A DAY WITHOUT A MEXICAN

ok for those who dont know....
this is not just for mexicans... its for immigrants of all races, whether your legal or illegal, it just seems like its just mexicans because i guess they're the ones effected by this fucked up law they're trying to pass.
so the point of may 1st, is to get all the immigrants, illegal or LEGAL.. to not do SHIT the whole day, dont buy shit, dont go to work, nothing. either just stay home and chill all day, or go downtown and participate in the protest... and the point is to show how effected this country would be if immigrants wern't here in the US feel me... so if nobody buys shit or does anything... it'll kinda fuck the whole system up and they'll see why they actually need immigrants.. (hopefully).
im not big on this political shit, but i read this new law they're trying to pass in school on thursday... which is like even if your born in the US, but your parents are illegal, you get sent back to your country... OR if your under 18, u get put in a group home and your property of the state until your 18.. and your parents get charged with a felony. some shit. man i wish i had that paper with me right now, its hella more shit they're tryna pass.

they are making it a felony to harbor or aide illeagal immigrants....like churches that give food & shelter to immigrants, their church will be shut down and all involved will be arrested & convicted of felonies. all immigrants are affected, but latinos are the ones targeted....and the shit gets deeper too, google it
If all illegal immigrants are affected, then how does it single out Latinos? Latinos are probably more effected by this, but thats because there are more Latino illegals than any other ethnicity. I think that has more to do with the fact that we share a border with Mexico, so its much easier for them to cross illegally than say, an Arab or an Asian. I really dont think this is a racial issue.
Peronally, the topic of illegal immigration is whatever to me, but I do not think these people should expect shit to be easy when they dont take the right avenues to enter legally.
So are they protesting because they want the right to harbor illegal aliens? What is the major injustice that is occurring here? If I break the law and get caught, I gotta pay the price like anybody else.

its not just mexicans its all immigrants.
my family is still going to work and shit because they arent going to get fired over this but we're not going to buy anything or use the internet or even the tv the whole point of this day is to make it like we are not here. and im not going to school but thats partly because i just dont want to. hella of my friends & people at school and their families is doing this too. i have a feeling its gonna be big.

It does my friend, the economy is very much affected by this and the economy affects everyone. And protesting isn't going to solve much, but the organization that is coming from these protests puts us in a very powerful position here.
Also, for those not going to work, yes they lose a day's pay. But the corporations/companies/capitalists lose a lot more because their production gets cut, their sales get cut, etc., and the true fight is against these few people who own the productive means in our world, therefore this is not just some pointless protest.
I highly encourage everyone's participation in this because it is not only to show how important immigrants are and have been to this country, but also to show these few people on the top, who control so much and have gone too far, that the masses have the power to counter. See beyond the illegal immigration issue and look at the bigger picture; workers are exploited regardless of being legal or not (illegals are way more vulnerable though) and this is a way to send a big message to the tyrants who run the huge corporations and essentially everything else.
