Boxing movies are "hella weak". I guess throwing sub-par actors into the film instead of totally horrible ones is a step up for the genre. This will be a mildly, at best, entertaining movie, yet hold great appeal for the latently homosexual among you.

I smell an oscar :rolleyes:

I agree with jlmacn about Damon, he is a good actor, but Wahlberg is better in my opinion! Wahlberg is one of my fav actors. But regardless they are both dope so it should be a coo flick! Got Em!!

You guys seriously think matt damon is a good actor? I'm not even gunna touch marky mark - that had to be a joke.

The whole premise of this movie sounds weak.




Hurricane (Nominated for Oscar) - oooo nominated, still shouldn't have even got that

Million dollar baby (Won 4 Oscars) - should have been none, hardly about boxing, political agenda helps not to mention people overly enamored with director

Cinderella man (Nominated for 3 Oscars) BAD (see comment about bad acting)

Champion (Won Gold Award International Film Festival) Seriously? wow! :rolleyes:

Rocky I, II, III, IV, Balboa = HORRIBLE (see comment about totally bad actors)

Good movie. Great acting by Denzel.

Great movie. Most all "boxing movies" are more about the persons life than the actual fighting, (besides Rocky and "Ali") including Raging Bull (which is considered one of the best movies of all time).

have you seen it? It's about the real life story of Deuk-Gu Kim, a Korean fighter who died in the ring against Ray Boom Boom Mancini. Great movie.
