It's official, Antonio Margarito will face Manny Pacquiao for the vacant WBC 154-pound title on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Margarito's application for a boxing license in the state of Texas was approved, according to an official from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Last February, Margarito's license to box was revoked by the California State Athletic Commission following a hand-wrapping scandal which took place before his fight with Shane Mosley in January 2009. Margarito's ability to apply for a new license began on February 11.
Last Wednesday, Margarito the CSAC turned down Margarito's application to obtain a license to box in the state of California. The Mexican boxer faxed over an application to Texas later that day. The Pacquiao-Margarito tour is expected to start next Tuesday in Los Angeles, followed by stops New York on September 1, and Dallas on September 2.
