Especially on a board like this where the networkin is so powerful and the fan influence is huge, if u aint feelin somethin its best to either explain in detail why not so people can get a read on why u personally didnt feel it, or just dont reply. a yo wax, this aint the first time you been bootlegged dogg. back when napster was around i dl'd your whole album, took about 20mins. i burned it and bumped that shit. it was coo. guess what, i aint never seen it in a store till thiss dayy. guess what i did when i checked the new releases. i got in my car, drove to the store, and bought your cd. recognize that downloading will help you out also, and dont be so shallow minded as to think everyones robbing you, quite a few folks on this board feel the same about downloading helping you, they just to scared to speak up cuz everyones so quick to point a finger and say whooo bootlegger, your robbing! its BS homie, props on the album i'm feelin, just remember you got a dubb cuz i dl'ed your album in the first place, if it wasn't for dl'in i'd stillll be buyin Dj quik and cash money.

I think bootlegging an album is promotion. If a person likes your product, they'll pick up the original. If your shit isn't felt, don't expect any purchases. Many who burn copies are mainly doing it for a sample of a person's work.

Nah what I do is preview albums before I buy it, I previewed it on NorthernRidaz. I'll go get it when my special order for Mister yellowman album comes in. For some strange reason I can't burn an album, I'm never satisfied unless I have the cover and the CD. The only time I burn is when I make a mix.

AWAX i feel you on this situation cuzzin. i felt wierd when i found out that MIP album was getting bootleg, but said FUCK IT. theres NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT. all we can do is keep droppin quality music! cats that love your sound/style will cont. to buy. along with the artwork, your shit is so marketable, its ridiculous!

since that MIP has been bootleg, i have been receiving more emails from cats asking to buy the original copy, so in a way....yes it is a great way for promotion, but WAX theres always going to be them cats whos going to make some change off of your shit. its a fact. i see them all the time on MARKET ST. with huge duffle bags of cdrs(NEVER ANY BAY SHIT, TRUST ME ON THAT CUZZ I ASK), them cats is everywhere, but hey WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND!

ever since downloading opened up..well you know the rest, and everytime one site or program get taken down....believe me, there will always be a new one, or many others we dont know about

check it tho wax, people dont bootlegg stuff like that in the 50's and 100's cdr wise. Eminem gets bootlegged like that. Snoop gets bootlegged like that. All them Huge name guys get bootlegged like that. a-wax doesn't get bootlegged like that. the worst you have to fear is a homie hearin it from a guy that dl'd it and askin him to burn a copy, becuase in public places he cant sell a cdr of someone people havent' heard much about, particularly somebody the havent' seen on MTV. so it would be VERY difficult for him/her to sell 50 cdrs of you to the public masses when they dont know what they're buying ;)

u shouldn't worry, i know a few people who are looking to buy your album, even folx from germany hit me up on it, germany! without downloading them germans never woulda peeped and reachin out that far in the world to some folx that dont even speak our language is coo enough shit right there :D

the price of real cds needs to go down thats the bottom line. A lot of people are like fuck the cover when they can burn shit for 10-20 cents instead of spending $15+ on the real thing.

some fools did the same thang to my group album NH....uploaded that shit on MIRC.....at first, i was angry......but u gotta realize thats a lot of xtra exposure and just stroll with it.....music is a shady biz, just keep sheddin light on it and you'll make your mark......one
