In the clubs they bump whats ever hot in the mainstream radio just like any other region does. I used to go to New York like every few weeks.
I HEARD PLENTY OF SHIT FROM THE SOUTH...THAT WAS ALL MAINSTREAM...BUT THE TIMES I BEEN OUT THERE...EVERYTHING WAS MOSTLY EAST COAST SHIT, IF IT WASNT MAINSTREAM...FROM STRIP CLUBS,BARS,AND CLUBS...BUT WEST COAST RAP WASN'T GIVEN NO LOVE.
I WAS EVEN ASKING FOOLS HOW THEY WERE SLEEPING ON SO MANY GOOD ARTISTS OUT HERE.

THAT WAS MAYBE TWO TO THREE YEARS AGO.

I GOT A BOY IN MANHATTAN AND ANOTHER ACQUAINTANCE WHO WAS IN THE BRONX,BUT MOVED TO JERSEY.

HE SAYS HE DONT HEAR TOO MUCH WEST COAST RAP AT ALL OUT THERE, BUT THEN AGAIN I CANT SAY HOW MUCH HE LOOKS FOR IT EITHER.

I Live out in New York and definitely love all the classic Sacramento stuff I've been hearing. As with places like Queensbridge and Brooklyn, it's produced some incredible rappers with really distinctive flow, style, and sound all their own. My friend got me into the classic Lynch records about five years ago, and I've been digging a ton of Sac rap from P-Folks to Gangsta Dre, Sicx, Dubb Sak, X-Raided, G-Macc ( the list goes on) ever since. Everyone I've played the 'Lyrical Octane' and 'Death Threatz' comps for out here has been blown away. Sav Sicc and Bleezo need to release some new material.

Apart from the Death Row-era classics, I have a lot of friends in Brooklyn, Queens, and L.I. that are into a variety of bay/san diego/los angeles/sac artists... E-40 is artually pretty well known out here, and I know a bunch of people who purchased his latest two- part record (and most people I know don't bother buying new releases in stores these days period). Jayo Felony is definitely known out here, and C-Bo is well known, as well(I'm sure the Pac appearance helped). A good amount of cats I know dig classic-era Lynch and know about X-Raided as well. All those releases are readily available at J&R in lower Manhattan, which is awesome.

Thats good to hear comin from a small selective ny audience; make sure u keep ur folks posted on the new Raided along wit the C-Way projects cuz the rest of the masses are so missin out on the hardest sh!t ever to emerge outta Sac while the rest out here on the west are comin out hella weak......

Definitely will. That Sac sound is amazing. Everyone I played that "Twin Evil" solo record for loved it. Those guys need to get their name out there, some of the most energetic, talented rappers out there!
