how are yall blaming the MC for beats, tho?
Who is blaming the MC for beats? We are tal;king about ALBUMS here and comparing them.

sure the mc picks it, but lynch is still lynch....on a beat from first degree or on a instrumental to man of la mancha..
ANd most fans obviously dont agree with his beat selection for LBI

i only listen for beats when the rapper aint really spitting hard.
Well then thats YOU. Most people will listen for a BEAT first...maybe this is why no one is agreeing with you. FOr me, its the WHOLE package. I can onlyh listen to a handful of rappers over "ehh" beats...if the beat aint what i like, there is a good chance itll be harder to get into.

lynch spit hard on lynch by inch..therefore the beats were not my interest.
And this is where the argument needs to end. Everyone seems to have a different point of view as to what we are talking about.

so great...you dont like the beats...i dont mind them..lynch by inch is still a more advanced brotha lynch...whether you can admit it or not...
I can agree. Lyrically, Lynch's best work is LBI...but overall product, Loaded is the best.

and i dont care about the chorus to spiderman...im not that finicky that i wont listen to a song because of the chorus...
Well, some folks are. I agree that a really bad hook, can downgrade a song. After all, it IS part of the structure of a complete song.

i listen to the lyrics on lynch by inch...im not like jamming to a beat

i can listen to first degree for that
So the argument is over then.

Summary:

Lyrically, LBI is the best Lynch album (i 206% agree with this statement).

Overall, Loaded or SODS, in most peoples opinion, is better due to not only beats, but lyrics.

Opinions are opinions man, aint nobody gonna change their mind...you included.

*shrugs*

.
in either case. obviously nobody agrees with you. are you from sac? maybe thats the problem...
And what does being from Sac got to do with it? NOTHING!!! Because a lot of u mothafuckas from Sac don't even know how 2 judge ur own product. Setripn Bloccstyle is a classic? Here Comes The Night is hella tight? Gangsta Dre better then Lynch? COS is dope? Hollow Tip better then Mitchy Slick? These are the statments & opinions I've read from u Sac cats about Sac music.

My point is it don't matter where ur from. How old are u cuz almost everytime u post more & more u make me believe ur 15 years old?

i dont think lynch went into recording lynch by inch like "these beats suck, but im gonna do it anyway". i think he felt the beats and you can tell by how he flowed on them.

to me lynch set out to make a modern day album with the influence of his older albums. like he came lyrical as fuck, but at the same time he doubled up on words like "we takin over like take over entertainment"

he was styling on the album and seemed like he had something to prove from the hiatus

IMO i think lynch coulda made another loaded or season of the sicc.

nah, i just like lynch by inch more than his other albums

i dont see whats so hard to understand about that

i might even have liked the virus or season of the sicc more at a time. but tastes change as time passes and i critique albums from the inside out after countless plays back to back....pretty much without bias for 'time sensitive albums'.

AND the album came with a DVD. let alone that it was 2cds.

its funny how some people in here think i made this thread to get people to agree. you think i didnt know how many people wouldnt agree from the jump? what does that matter, tho? does everything on message boards have to follow the same sequence? i just wanted to critically speak on lynch by inch.

and i went about it by making people get defensive about loaded and sots for no real reason.

no different if i woulda said cali>new york....it starts a shit storm from those who dont agree

the point wasnt to fight about it tho, it was just to give your opinion and be out...or stay and form new opinions based on other peoples, i just didnt see the point of name calling and getting defensive like it was your album or somethin. but i guess everything has to be a fight on message boards.

yo loaded is the shit. i think suicide note is equally great, he just changed his style lyrically. all artists have to evole during their career. if you want lynch to stay the same way on every album he will become to sound stale.

The Virus is a blackmarket album, in my opinion it's full of recycled songs and not fair to critique an artist for an album that he didn't have creative control over.

EBK4 (which I actually enjoy a lot) is the same way, but maybe to a lesser extent. (That album cover is the shit)

But on topic, I'm a LOADED guy also, and I judge it not through a lyrical filter, or on beats, but just the music, and the connection Lynch has with the music on that CD. If you listen to 'ONE OF THE LAST SICC' his delivery is amazing, the way he'll switch from a slow, deep tone, and rise to a fury in the same bar. He's just talking for a minute, then he'll stress a certain word, or sing a phrase, and it hits just right, amongst all the effects that BETA and D.E add to the song.

like someone said a few months back LOADED was an experience. A lot of the sounds and concepts on that album are only hinted at by the lyrics and skits, You forced to feel the Sicc shit on there, as opposed to Season and LBI where Lynch is telling you.

and I know it's bootsy to judge a CD by guest appearances, but I mean got damn, a prime LOKI, Legend ICE-T, E-40 goin hard, muthafuckin KOKANE! the swartzaniggaz. P-FOLKS hardest verse ever Sicx D-Dubb on the hooks.
EVERY artist featured on that CD killed their verse, so maybe it's not bootsy to judge by appearances if the quality of the featured artists contribution reflects the bar set by the artist.

EBK4 was dope....regardless.

The Virus was just some thrown together shit of songs from other peoples albums and pieced together songs....most dont even consider that a Lynch album.

THe dopest song off there sounds like absolute SHIT...like they recorded that shit off the radio with a fuckin cell phone....

^ as if opinions dont exist or something.

loaded was not an experience for me. it was just another album.
we all go through different shit, it just wasnt that type of thing for me.

x-raided rapping through a jail phone was an experience for me...loaded was just like the album everyone wanted to smoke to and the shit got old to me real quick

i guess if youre gonna base the album on your nostalgia then the albums will ne ver get fairly critiqued, because for some reason you will hold one album on a high ass pedastool that cant be touched

and virus is dope....i dont know about the sound quality, i never even really noticed it. i dunno, id listen to instrumentals...when a rappers rapping i listen to the rap...the beat is secondary unless the mc sucks

i did mention that already doe

i like all lynch albums, but creatively and lyrically i have different opinions when it comes to critiquing, if i was gonna base it on nostalgia, id pick season of the sicc...

season of the siccness was the only album that was an "experience" to me. and that was pretty much because i had recently started drinking and everything lynch was sying was crazy at the time

that might be exactly why loaded just wasnt a big deal to me

Gas is allowed his opinion, and I think he knows hes going against main public opinion, but who cares, dude can feel and say what he wants....

EBK4 to me, is hella underrated....that album, to me, comes right behind 24 deep, after SOTS and Loaded, and I will slap that anytime before LBI.

I threw in LBI on my ipod the other day, and try to see if I am missing something, but I honestly just dont feel it at all....and sometimes I dont even like what lynch is spitting.....im like, he just said some dumb shit! I do like Spyderman, Spitz Network (both choruses suck tho!), I went From, My mind AInt right, suicide note, i gets off (lynch didnt come nearly as tight as he should of tho) and of course drunken style, but thats from Blocc Movement (another highly UNDERRATED album).....

All in all, its not a bad album....but christ man, i just feel like lynch is CAPABLE of so much more.....i am hoping DAAM is light years ahead of LBI.

lynch went between simplistic lyrics, deep shit, and lyrical ability on that album

it covered more ground
he was all over the place reallly....the beats were even all over the place...

then if you didnt get it, you could watch the DVD and he explains it/the mindstate

season of the sicc/loaded are more cohesive albums, but i cant say cohesiveness is always be best move.

for the most part i really appreciated lynch taking it above and beyond and moving outside of his assumed comfort level

"nigga you taste good/like sour cream and chives"

^ lynch coulda done without that line, tho.

tellin a nigga he tastes good? hmm.

Oh, and all the skits on lynch by inch are funny as fuck.

the album has a couple lines where I was like, "Huh!?" - shit didnt even sound tight....
i think thats all lynch albums tho. hes always had a few iffy lines to me.

i just kinda ignore them.

and word its just conversation...i swear threads like this make my day at work go by quicker lol

hes had forever to make dinner and a movie..but he had forever to make lynch by inch...it might be another album loaded fans arent feeling.
