Then u should have a name poppin enuff to where this is how u make ur money. You cant hate on the next man for trying to make something happen. Dont nobody owe us anything. What is your real purpose of being in the rap game? Youve been in it way too long but is it worth it? Is this the route you will continue for the next 5 years?? Im jus asking. Something that everybody should think about.

i think thats why we have way to many rappers in the bay lol...everybody doing verse and tracks for free to help some one out lol...maybe if artist charge a lil it will weed out all these free projects going around...i think every rapper should charge something at least...i bet i can come on here and say i gunna put a comp toghter ..and watch and see how many free tracks i can get lol....pay for the shit....just m.o
well since u put it that way ....and I charge for verses and get paid too but I charge ppl that I know aint doin shit but ppl that are goin somewhere I do em for free maybe I need to change my business practices..maybe i need a manager....

AND I DONT GOT A PROBLEM WITH PAYING FOR CERTAIN FEATURES IF I THINK THE MONEY IS WORTH IT AND IF ITS REASONABLE..I DO KNOW N UNDERSTAND SOME RAPPERS SITUATIONS WHERE THEY GOTTA SPEND THEIR OWN GAS TO HIT UP A STUDIO OR EVEN GOTTA PAY FOR STUDIO TIME..OR GOT KIDS N GOTTA HAVE A WAY TO FEED EM SOMEHOW..MUSIC IS A JOB SO I UNDERSTAND WHERE THESE RAPPERS COME FROM NOW IF THEY ARE CHARGING 500-700$ A VERSE AND THEY AINT WELL KNOWN THEY CAN KICK ROCKS I MIGHT AS WELL FOR THAT PRICE SAVE UP N GET ME A VERSE FROM A PERSON WHOS REALLY KNOWN

^^^^ yea thats i mean ... but in reality no homeboy rapper is a "known rapper" i can walk the streets of atlanta all day and ask around and nobody will who the hell im talking about , you feel me? before i started rapping i would buy every single "homeboy" cd , even if it sucked , i was "supporting the homies". i was a "fan". and it was because of us "fans" and homeboyrap.com that alot of these artist got to where they at. so when i start rapping and ask for a verse of course i didnt expect it on the strenth but 700 is fucken off the wall ....i was like dam wheres my support ? i thought it was support the "homies", im a "homie" too wheres my support?, first homie i did a track with was redrum on that murder on my mind track that was on the strangulation 4 , i paid sleepy 100$ for it well worth the money. big oso loc charged me 150 for 2 verses that was koo too ...
now the lil coner verses i regret paying 4 i think it was like 400 for 2 verses ..
the homies that have done it on the strenth and showed me the most loved first was mr.g for working with me , when alot of "homeboys" wouldnt , then chico out in ariza , much love to that vato fighting a case behind the walls right now, he taught me alot on some real shit. and then perico from homeboyrap he was always willing to help , i chopped it up on the phone with the homie a few times , he was hella koo .. if it wasnt for him i would of never been on those darkroom familia cds .... that was a big step for me as a "rapper". now thats "supporting the homies".

i fux wit the homies....

paying rappers to collaborate is not a healthy investment no matter who u are no matter who they are.
ask a bank loan officer, any considerable business plan should have a 600% return strategy. in northerner rap the profit margins are un realistic.
individuals paying artists for collaborations are usually motivated to do so to be considered equals on the fame and status gauge. or to feel theyre IN.. lol
i do my thang n never changed. never charged a cent. never paid for a feature but my work ethic has got me out there and time finally did cross my paths with all those we consider the famous ones...
i still got to meet em n record songz wit em.. i just waited til i earned my place to be present, n not by shelling out a couple hundred.. as far as money goes i am happy with the couple hundreds dollars my solo made me thus far. i was happy without it but profit does get to constitute success.
but success really depends on ones goals. buzz and popular demand, great musical legacy, and riches and fortune are all really different freeway exits... most fools didnt mapquest there route ya feel me,, lost!

alot of respectable input in here... theres my 2
